  • ABC's 'The Bachelorette' reportedly gets some pricey new digs in Charlotte, NC

    Allison McGevna |

For the first time in “The Bachelor/Bachelorette’s” lengthy span on ABC (since 2002), the reality show will not film the first episode at the Spanish-style estate “Villa de la Vina” located in the Santa Monica Mountains of Southern California.

Rather, the producers of the long-running show are choosing to produce episodes from Charlotte, NC, which is the hometown of new Bachelorette, Emily Maynard.

According to Reality Steve, this home will be used in the Bachelorette season premiere this spring and — surprise — it’s on the Charlotte real estate market for $3.9 million. Local TV station WSOC-TV.comalso lists the home as a possible location for the show.

The property’s listing agent Nicholas Peters did confirm that his brokerage has a home being used by ABC, however, he said “by contract, the owners and agents can’t disclose the address.”

He explained that once filming wraps up, ABC would give the brokerage the green light to share the address and actively market the home.

  • Justin Bieber reportedly buys $10M bachelor pad for 18th birthday

    Allison McGevna |

Teen singer Justin Bieber has officially reached adulthood. In honor of the birthday milestone, Bieber reportedly chose to drop a very grown-up $10.8 million on a modern mansion in L.A.

The $10 million-plus Hollywood Hills real estate purchase is a relatively small sum for the teen heartthrob; Forbes ranks Bieber number two on the list of Best-Paid Celebrities under 30, earning a reported $53 million in 2011.

Bieber’s new home is not the typical Mediterranean-style mansion popular to the area. Designed by architects Jeffrey and Rochelle Mills of Mills Studio, the home is made up of glass and steel boxes that appear to float above the home’s large pool and patio. With a whopping 9,400-square-feet of living space, the 5-bedroom home has plenty of room for the singer, his girlfriend Selena Gomez as well as his entourage of security and managers.

Bieber made his music debut in 2009 after a manager discovered YouTube videos of the singer. After releasing his first album with relative success, the singer reached international stardom with his song “Baby.”

The home features plenty of celebrity real estate amenities: glass chandeliers, retractable glass walls, gourmet kitchen, gym and massage room.

  • POLL: Should celebs sing the national anthem?

    Allison McGevna |

These days, it seems that every time you turn around, another celebrity is screwing up the “Star Spangled Banner.”

Last week, it was Steven Tyler, who came under fire for his performance of the national anthem at the AFC championship game between the Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots.

At last year’s Super Bowl, it was Christina Aguilera forgetting the words. Before that? Cyndi Lauper, Michael Bolton and “Idol’s” Lauren Alaina, to name a few.

In light of the fact that celebs just can’t seem to get the song right, we have to ask: should celebs sing the national anthem? Vote below.

“I knew that many women were having the same complication I had while delivering my daughter and were dying without the proper medical care,” Turlington, 41, said. “ I needed to know more and I couldn’t go on with my life until I did.”
