  • From Cute Babies to Hollywood Babes: Baby pictures of the stars

    FOX 411 | Editor

Everyone is fawning over baby photos of the children of Hollywood’s hottest stars (Jessica Simpson couldn’t resist tweeting out the first pic of her new cherub mini-me this week, and the world collectively cooed). But what about the actual baby pics of the stars themselves? Beautiful babies grow up to be beautiful celebrities, and our friends at reveal the cutest pics of the babies who grew up to be some of our brightest stars.

    Denise Richards’ Baby Photo

Although you may think from her outfit that Denise Richards grew up with Heidi in the German Alps, she actually was born in Illinois. The now 41-year-old has had a long career as an actress (“Wild Things”) and also a reality television star (“It’s Complicated”), but, of course, she’s best known for being one of the ex-wives (and now best friend) of Charlie Sheen.

Look at that perfect baby “smize” (“smiling with just your eyes” –the phrase model and TV star Tyra Banks coined). Brooklyn may not have started modeling until she was 18, but Baby Brooklyn totally could have had a career as well. These days she’s a double threat, starring in movies like the comedy “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” and the summer action film “Battleship.”

    Gwyneth Paltrow’s Baby Photo

Who knew that this funny-faced baby would become one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood? Gwyneth Paltrow is an Oscar winner, a best-selling cookbook author, a “Glee” rock star, and a wife and mother. She turns 40 this year, and after a stint in “The Avengers,” she will reprise her role as Pepper Potts once more in “Iron Man 3” next year.

  • Sneak peek: Forbes' top earning actresses of 2012 before the fame

    FOX 411 | Editor

When “Forbes” magazine released their list of Hollywood’s Top-Paid Actresses for 2012 last week, everyone was buzzing on who made the list and who didn’t even come close.

These A-list gals all got their start somewhere, and for many, it was in the high school drama club, early modeling gigs or taking on much smaller roles just to pay the bills.

The list had a few shockers, as well as a few actresses you might not be surprised to see. Our friends at have the full list of stars before the fame, but we thought we’d give a little tease of the top ten here.

Then: A senior at LaGuardia High School of Music and Art, New York City in 1987
Now: Jennifer Aniston –#10 at $11 million per year

Despite tons of press this year thanks to her new relationship with actor Justin Theroux, and marriage and baby rumors, Aniston landed at the bottom of the list (which is not too shabby with her $11 million per year estimated salary). Aniston’s comedy last year with Adam Sandler (and model Brooklyn Decker) “Just Go With It” just had a “meh” turnout in box office cash, as did her film “Horrible Bosses” in which she shocked many fans by going against type as a sexually aggressive dentist. We’re guessing America still loves to see Jen in roles that have a little “Rachel” in them and Aniston may want to stick with comedies for 2013.

But based on her IMDB project list, Jen is going to keep us guessing. The plot of her next 2013 film “Miss You Already” that she has signed up for with co-star Toni Collette is described as “a friendship between two life-long girlfriends is put to the test when one starts a family and the other falls ill.” Let’s hope it gets Jen an Oscar nom to help keep her on the top earners list.

Then: Kristen Wiig, Brighton High School in Rochester, New York in 2003
Now: Kristen Wiig –#9 at $12 million per year

The effect of “Bridesmaids” for the actresses who landed a part in the runaway comedy hit had the same effect as the success that “Hangover” did (and still does) for those lucky men.

The crazy comedy of the girl’s pre-wedding errors even had some poignant moments carried off well by the former “Saturday Night Live” comedic star, and the film earned way more money than anyone imagined: a whopping $288 million off of an estimated budget of just $32 million.

Everyone in Hollywood is buzzing that Wiig, who got her big break on “Saturday Night Live” is going to be BIG, and that audiences haven’t even seen her scope yet.

Sound likes Wiig is set to be the next Adam Sandler, who already floats seamlessly (and very lucratively) between crass comedies and serious dramas and indies.

By Christmas, Wiig will co-star in her first big-budget film, “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty,” with Ben Stiller, which should cement her top position as Hollywood’s favorite and funniest new actress.

And any sequel to “Bridesmaids” is sure to land her on the Forbes list again in 2013.

Then: Senior Year at Bernards High School in New Jersey in 1967
Now: Meryl Streep –#8 at $12 million per year

The British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher biopic film “The Iron Lady” in 2011 earned Streep her third Academy Award and also makes her the most nominated actress of all time.

While most Hollywood actresses seem to have limited roles and drop off the top earners list even before they are 50, at the age of 62, Streep has the career and diversity of roles, as well as a huge salary and esteemed recognition that any actress at any age would crave.

  • The Stars of 'Jaws': Where are they now?

    FOX 411 | Editor

Has it really been over 35 years since we first developed a fear of dark water and John Williams’s use of a tuba? In 1975, Steven Spielberg’s “Jaws” introduced us to menacing man-eating sharks and Roy Scheider’s scowl. The film was a huge box office success, with a worldwide gross of $470,600,000 –the highest of its time. Naturally, Hollywood followed up with three sequels, “Jaws 2” (1978), “Jaws 3-D” (1983), and “Jaws: The Revenge” (1987). Our friends at catch up with the stars of the franchise to find out what they are up to today.

(20th Century Fox Film Corp/Everett Collection)

Robert Shaw in “Jaws” in 1975
Robert Shaw cemented his status as a “guy you do not mess with” as the grizzled shark hunter Quint in “Jaws.” Shaw’s Quint was a man on a mission to fulfill his greatest grudge, which pretty much involved putting every shark he could find on the sharp end of a stick. Unfortunately for Quint, he falls victim to his own Moby Dick.

    Robert Shaw in 1978
Robert Shaw was a well-known British actor who had appeared in many films pre-“Jaws.” He was an accomplished star of stage, screen, and TV who had appeared “From Russia with Love,” The Sting,” and “Battle of Britain.” After “Jaws,” he had roles in “The Deep” and “Force 10 from Navarone.” Shaw, who was also a writer, died in 1978 at the age of 51.

Roy Scheider in “Jaws” in 1975
Take one extremely annoyed shark; add in an obnoxious mayor, a feisty marine biologist, and a crazy shark hunter. Sprinkle in a bunch of swimmers like fish food. Then cap it all off with “everyman” Roy Scheider. What are you left with? An iconic film that remains on top of most critics’ lists as one of the best films ever made, “Jaws” became an instant classic. This is in part due to Scheider’s stoic performance as police chief Martin Brody, the man determined to make sushi out of the shark menacing his town.

    Roy Scheider in 2007
Roy Scheider’s career is the stuff of Hollywood dreams. Besides Jaws and Jaws 2, he appeared in “The French Connection,” “Klute,” “Marathon Man,” “All That Jazz,” “The Rainmaker,” and “Daybreak,” among many other films. Later, he appeared on TV’s “Third Watch” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” Scheider died in 2008 at the age of 75.

Lea Thompson in “Jaws 3-D” in 1983
Lea Thompson is perky, ill-fated water-skier Kelly Ann Bukowski in “Jaws 3-D.” Lucky for Lea, the shark merely snacks on her leg before going on to attempt to drown everyone else in a nearby underwater tunnel. Though it is the screaming extras and not the shark to be blamed in this case—the first rule of surviving a horror movie is to avoid shark-flanked underwater tunnels at all costs.

    Lea Thompson Today
Lea and her leg survived to live another day after “Jaws 3-D.” In fact, she went on to catch her big break as Tom Cruise’s girlfriend in “All the Right Moves. Thompson has appeared in films such as “Red Dawn,” “Back to the Future,” and “Howard the Duck” and played the title role on TV’s “Caroline in the City.” Today she appears as Kathryn Kennish on TV’s “Switched at Birth.”
