  • Madonna's older brother is homeless and living under a bridge, reports say

Madonna may have been booed on the red carpet at the screening of “W.E.” in London yesterday, but the pop star has bigger things to worry about than fans’ reaction to her latest cinematic effort.

Her older brother, Anthony Ciccone, is reportedly homeless and living under a bridge in Traverse City, Michigan.

“My family turned their back on me, basically, when I was having a hard time,” Ciccone told the Michigan Messenger. “You think I haven’t answered this kind of question a bazillion times–why my sister is a multibazillionaire, and I’m homeless on the street? Never say never. This could happen to anybody.”

The 55-year-old claims to have been homeless for the past 18 months, after losing his job at his father’s vineyard and winery in Suttons Bay, Michigan.

Things are so bad, Ciccone even claims to have suffered from frostbite last winter. “You spend enough time on frozen concrete without proper insulation you will get frostbite,” Ciccone explains. “You have no idea how gruesome it is. You get nerve damage. That’s the milder stage, in the severe stage you have tissue damage, that is when you lose parts of your body.”

The second of eight children, Ciccone says that he can’t find steady work. “I don’t have any income. I’ve got to go collect bottles and cans, do odd jobs.”

But the down-on-his luck Ciccone isn’t looking for money from his famous sibling. “I’m not looking to get a free hand-out because of my sister,” he told the New York Post. “I’m not looking for any publicity. If you’re here to get me to tell stories about my sister, that’s not who I am.
