  • Four Kids, No Problem: Brooke Burke's bikini body secrets

Brooke Burke is the definition of “hot mamma.”

The 39-year old mother of four rocks a bikini better than most women half her age.

    Her secret? Commitment.

“You’ve got to figure out what works for you,” the co-host of “Dancing with the Stars” says in the new issue of Redbook. “If you only have 20 minutes, make it a kick-ass 20 minutes. Working out is my stress reliever and my me time. The way I see it, if you don’t have 45 minutes a few days a week for yourself, you are in big trouble.”

The modern mom is also the co-CEO of the popular web site ModernMom.com (go figure), where she dispenses advice to other mothers on how to get bikini-ready.

“The more I work out, the more I balance my stress, the better I feel about me,” says Burke, who exercises at least five times a week and confesses to being “obsessed” with Pilates.

Burke’s secret for a beautiful booty? “I do a Core Secrets Bun Battle,” a workout video by trainer-to-the-stars Gunnar Peterson, reveals the Connecticut-born, Arizona-raised knockout.

And Burke suggests that even if you’re not used to exercising, you shouldn’t give up once you get started, “The better you get, the more you should push yourself,” she advises.

Of course, the model who once graced the pages of FHM, Maxim and Playboy isn’t gorging on Ding-Dongs, “Ninety percent of fitness is what you put in your mouth!”

Burke, who has two daughters with ex-husband, plastic surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher, and a daughter and son with partner, French singer and actor David Charvet, has resigned herself to the fact that her life is going to be a bit chaotic, “When I was a new mom, I used to think that life was going to be balanced, and I strived for that,” she explains in Redbook. “But life is crazy! I’ve got two little ones a year apart—my daughter Rain, 4, and my son, Shaya, 3—and two older daughters—Neriah, 11, and Sierra, 9—and a million things to do. I gave up on the expectation that everything was going to be picture-perfect. Balance is a joke.”

Between her workouts, kids, and busy schedule, Burke makes it a priority that she and her sweetie get to spend quality time together.

“It’s Familyville in my life, but David and I make sure to escape once a week,” explains Burke. “So maybe on a Sunday night, we’ll go out to dinner at a favorite Malibu restaurant. Or at home we get the candles, the music—the whole deal—and we close the bedroom door. We have a rule in our house that you have to knock on closed doors. Someday the kids might be like, ‘I smell the candles, I hear Maxwell playing…’ but thank God they’re not old enough to figure that out yet. I do not want to have to explain that one!”
