  • Glamour magazine picks its next it-girls: Freida, Ashley and Emma

Glamour magazine has released its picks for the next breakout stars, with three gorgeous actresses appearing on three separate covers.

“Twilight’s” Ashley Greene, “Easy A” star Emma Stone and “Slumdog Millionaire” actress Freida Pinto are on the three covers, where they open up about their dreams in the industry, setbacks they had to overcome, and of course, share a few details about their private lives.

“The Cool Girl” Stone, 22,  reveals her struggles with “massive anxiety” as a child and how she ultimately overcame it.

“I was in therapy. From 8 to 10, I was borderline agoraphobic,” she said. “I could not leave my mom’s side. I don’t really have panic attacks anymore, but I had really bad anxiety. There was a lot of fear, but [coming to Hollywood] was also very exciting.”

Appearing next in “The Amazing Spider-Man,” the actress also reveals that if she was not in films, she would want to be a journalist.

“I really like grammar. And spelling,” she adds. “I was a spelling-bee kid. I’m hard-core about grammar.”

Dubbed “the Goddess,” Pinto, 26, became an instant star for her role in the Oscar-winning hit “Slumdog Millionaire.” Next up in “Rise of the Apes” and “Miral,” Pinto says she is excited about being accepted in Hollywood, but still being able to maintain some autonomy in her native India.

“Here you have to do Bollywood films to be recognized, so I’m lucky,” she said. “In the morning, I jog around the park with my sister in our building’s complex. She keeps making fun of me because I wear big sunglasses: ‘Oh, it’s the celebrity Freida Pinto with her big sunglasses on.’ And I say, ‘I’m doing it to protect my eyes from the sun!”

But she says of ethnicity in Hollywood: ““I think people are starting to become more color-blind in the industry. Of course, my Indian-ness cannot be ignored. At the same time, if I am being considered for a romantic comedy, I would like if [the script] didn’t try to inject as much ethnicity into the story as possible.”

Greene, dubbed “The Bombshell,” recalls the struggle to rise to fame and pursue her dreams.

Before her role in the “Twilight” franchise, the 24-year-old was a model who struggled to cross over.

“I lived off Lean Cuisine and had no furniture and shared a bedroom with a girl for a year,” she said. “I ran up my credit card. But every time I thought, I’m going to fail, something happened that kept me here.”

But the actress found success in one of the biggest teen franchises of all time, but is now looking to move forward and expand her resume.

“It is difficult because people look at you as that character. I want to play a role of a 24-year-old woman, not 17-year-old girls. So I have picked a couple of films like ‘Butter’ to show that. And it’s perfectly fine not to do anything for a year if I don’t find the right thing.”

The image hits newsstands April 5.
