  • Lindsay Lohan opens up in interview: I feel 'great'

Lindsay Lohan’s road to recovery finally seems to be on the upswing.

“I feel great. I feel happy,” a lucid and relaxed Lindsay Lohan told Extra’s Jerry Penacoli. “There are always going to be bumps that we have in the road, but as long as I’m focusing on the one thing that I know that I need to put first in my life—which is my recovery and stuff. I’m doing good, and that’s what’s most important to me.”

Lohan may have plenty of reason to be happy—TMZ is reporting that a surveillance video from the boutique where Lohan is accused of stealing a $2500 necklace may actually exonerate her.

“The surveillance video clearly shows Lindsay trying on the necklace, checking herself out in the mirror, and appearing to ask her friend and the store owner for their opinion,” reports TMZ.

The troubled actress is due back in court on March 10, where she will face Judge Douglas Schwartz to accept a plea deal with certain jail time, or take her chances at trial. If Lohan is found guilty of felony grand theft, she could face up to a year in the California state prison system.

Realizing that few in Hollywood would be willing to hire her with her current problems—legal and otherwise, the fallen starlet pledged to work hard to regain producers’ trust, ”I need to prove that I can be insurable again,” Lohan explained to Extra. “Because I don’t think I am right now.”
