  • The Bellamy Brothers set to sue Britney Spears over 'Hold It Against Me'

    FOX 411 | Editor

Britney Spears' 'Hold It Against Me.'

Britney Spears may need to enlist more than just a high-kicking kung fu body double to help her fight her latest set of legal battles.

The pop tart may soon be served with a multi-million dollar lawsuit alleging that she and four credited songwriters “ripped off” country music duo the Bellamy Brothers’ 1979 hit, “If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me?” with her latest song, “Hold It Against Me.”

“It becomes somewhat uncanny if you simply double the beat of the Bellamy Brothers’ song and match it up with Britney’s version,” the Bellamy Brothers’ attorney Christopher E. Schmidt said in a statement. “Literally thousands of fans for both artists have also taken notice.”

The Bellamy Brothers’ attorney also noted that this isn’t the first time Spears’ co-producer on “Hold It Against Me” has been accused of plagiarism. “Dr. Luke was sued in 2007 for copyright infringement along with Avril Lavigne and her record label for ‘lifting’ portions of Avril’s hit song ‘Girlfriend.’ The suit subsequently settled in 2008.”

  • Miley Cyrus receives 'inspiration' award, urges kids not to 'do what their parents want'

Miley Cyrus’ week had a rough start with her dad waxing poetic on the perils of “Hannah Montana,” but now it looks like she may have put her own foot in her mouth as well.

Two months after a video leaked of Cyrus allegedly smoking salvia, a legal, LSD-like substance, her estranged father, Billy Ray Cyrus, announced to the world that he’d like a do-over on the whole “Hannah Montana” thing.

“It destroyed my family,” the downtrodden dad told GQ. “I’ll tell you right now–the damn show destroyed my family. I’d take it back in a second. For my family to be here and just be everybody OK, safe and sound and happy and normal, would have been fantastic.”

But the former Disney darling’s week looked like it would end on a high note when fellow former Disney tween queen, Hilary Duff, presented her with an “inspiration” award for Global Action Youth Leadership at a gala in Beverly Hills on Friday.

  • Britney Spears sells out in in her new video for 'Hold It Against Me'

Britney Spears' 'Hold It Against Me.'

    Ka-CHING!

Britney Spears is raking it in with some very obvious product placements in her new video, “Hold it Against Me.”

The pop tart is pushing her new fragrance, Radiance by Britney Spears—shamelessly spritzing it on herself after a close-up shot of the product’s label.

Professional makeup line Make Up Forever also gets a shout out, as Spears liberally applies beige cream eye shadow after a gratuitous product shot.

Electronics giant Sony gets some love in the form of having their computer and television monitors sprayed with silly string.

“Hold it Against Me” was directed by Jonas Akerlund, the man responsible for Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” video. “Telephone” infamously featured at least nine different product placements, ranging from Miracle Whip to Polaroid.

Both “Telephone” and “Hold it Against Me” prominently feature Internet dating site Plenty of Fish.

The integration of Plenty of Fish, along with the other branded products in Spears’ video, is clunky and obvious when compared with Gaga’s spin. Spears is randomly searching for a generic pretty boy on the site in her video, while Lady Gaga’s butch prison guard is using Plenty of Fish to look for love.

In any case, Plenty of Fish is sure to see a spike in traffic now that it has Britney Spears’ seal of approval. The site saw a 15%  percent increase in searches after Lady Gaga’s video debuted.

  • Curvy Sofia Vergara digitally slimmed for new "skinny" Pepsi can

Sofia Vergara for Diet Pepsi. (PepsiCo.)

If you’re going to advertise a diet soda in a “skinny” can, would you hire an actress known for her bodacious curves?

For some reason, Pepsi did—commissioning “Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara to pose in an ad where not only is she unrecognizable, they may have even reduced her famous assets via computer retouching!

“Vergara’s positioned so you can’t see most of her face and body, and her arm is whittled by an oddly-placed shadow,” writes Jezebel’s Margaret Hartmann. The women’s fashion and news web site has long been a critic of advertisers, magazine publishers and video producers for digitally slimming down female celebrities.

AdRANTs, an advertising industry blog, also railed against Pepsi for their questionable marketing direction.

“Why did Pepsi feel necessary to basically eliminate any hint of Vergara’s true body shape from the ad?” asks AdRANTs’ Steve Hall. “Oh wait. Because women with big boobs are stupid and God forbid Pepsi lead us to believe stupid people drink their products.”

Even the National Eating Disorders Association added their 2 cents, calling Pepsi “thoughtless and irresponsible.”

Hold on to your hard hats – Jon Gosselin has a REAL JOB!

TMZ reports that the divorced dad from TLC’s “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ is working for Pennsylvania-based Green Pointe Energy, installing solar panels on the roof of a storage building.

It’s a long way from the glitz of Hollywood red carpets.

Since his divorce from Kate Gosselin, Jon has desperately tried to hang on to his reality fame. He appeared on an episode of TLC’s “American Choppers,” and was briefly hired to do on-air assignments for “Entertainment Tonight.”

  • America, here's your new Wonder Woman!

Adrianne Palicki in 'Lone Star.' (USA)

Bad guys better get out of town!

A new Wonder Woman has finally been cast for the remake of the classic ‘70s super hero TV series.

The gorgeous Adrianne Palicki, who wowed viewers and Hollywood honchos alike during her brief turn on Fox’s cancelled “Lone Star,” will put on her bullet-proof bracelets to play the role made iconic by Lynda Carter.

Palicki was thought to be perfect for the role, and she was the only actress invited to do a screen test. Perhaps Palicki’s statuesque beauty had something to do with it—standing at 5’11”, she’s the ideal height to portray an Amazon crime-fighter.

Prolific producer David E. Kelley teamed with Warner Bros. to bring the series back to television, but not without some hiccups. Keep Reading…

  • Justin Bieber unimpressed with American health care system, prefers Canada's

    FOX 411 | Editor

Canadian tween heartthrob Justin Bieber has weighed in on the U.S. health care system — and he isn’t impressed.

“You guys are evil,” he laughs in the new issue of Rolling Stone. “Canada’s the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don’t need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you’re broke because of medical bills. My bodyguard’s baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby’s premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home.”

Bieber, who turns 17 on March 1st, also has an opinion on abortion.

“It’s like killing a baby,” he says.

But Beiber appears conflicted on abortion in the case of rape.

“Modern Family” bombshell Sofia Vergara offers up her favorite ways to put a little va into your voom in the March issue of Shape magazine.

Vergara, 39, talks about how she hates working out, how men can turn into “little babies” when they get hurt, and why chocolate-covered strawberries are health food.

Check out FOX411’s advance quotes from the interview, plus both sexy covers.

    Trade sit-ups for salsa…

Want to see Sofia make the “ugh” face? Ask her what she does to work out.

“Oh, I hate it!” she says. “But I also know that at my age—I’m almost 40!—I have to do it to maintain my figure. When I can, I try to do Latin dancing for exercise because it’s so much fun and I just love the music.”

The hard part for her is actually getting to the gym. “Two hours before I go, I’m already wishing it was over,” she admits.

Her motivational trick? “I psychologically fool myself into believing it’s part of my job. And then, of course, once I’m done, I’m really glad I did it because I feel so good.”

  • Seven-year-old Justin Bieber fan takes his Grammy loss hard on YouTube video

    FOX 411 | Editor

Justin Beiber's '#1 fan' Jonah. (YouTube)

For shame, Esperanza Spalding. For shame!

Your Sunday defeat of Justin Bieber for the Best New Artist Grammy Award hit one young Just Bieber fan hard.

    Really hard.

In a video posted to YouTube yesterday, a seven-year-old boy named Jonah watched in tears as Spalding accepted her Grammy Award Sunday night.

Between sniffles, Jonah wailed to his mother, “My teenager lost!”

“Who is your teenager?” mom said off camera.

    “Justin Bieber!” Jonah sobbed.

Jonah, described on his mother’s YouTube page as “Justin Bieber’s #1 fan,” may not be old enough to figure out how to vengefully vandalize Spalding’s Wikipedia page, but he’s certainly capable of expressing how millions of “Belibers” feel about the teenybopper’s shocking loss Sunday night.

To all of the wonderful musicians, vocalists, and songwriters who lent their amazing talents to this record, I want to thank you for making it so special.”

Described as “an inspirational collection of classic songs that Rogers remembers from his childhood along with new recordings of contemporary songs,” the CD makes Roger the first artist to release a second album at the famed comfort food emporium.
