Actor Ashton Kutcher threatened legal action against an adult film company that is using his name to promote a sex tape featuring his rumored mistress, a company spokeswoman confirmed Friday.

Thursday, Vivid Entertainment announced that it would release a sex tape of Brittney Jones “engaged in very explicit, uninhibited sex with a former boyfriend.”

“Ashton’s fans will undoubtedly enjoy seeing what the star himself may have experienced, in this exclusive video,” the statement added about the tape, “Brittney Jones Confidential,” which is set for release on Dec. 14.

Star Magazine claimed in September that Kutcher, 32, had sex with Jones, 21, in the living room of his Hollywood home. The actor, who is married to actress Demi Moore, 48, vehemently denied the report.

Lawyers for Kutcher wrote to the adult entertainment company Thursday threatening legal action for “trading on Mr. Kutcher’s good name and reputation for a commercial purpose.”

Vivid founder and co-chairman Steven Hirsch told entertainment website that the company received the letter from Kutcher’s camp and said he “immediately forwarded it to my attorney. We will respond accordingly.”

A spokesperson for the company told NewsCore Friday that the company had no further response at this time.

Vivid Entertainment is the same company that released Kim Kardashian’s sex tape, a video of Playboy model and reality television star Kendra Wilkinson having sex with her high school boyfriend and a porn film featuring actor Laurence Fishburne’s daughter Montana.
