  Michael J. Fox was not original Marty McFly in 'Back To the Future'

  The role that made Michael J. Fox a movie star was not originally his.

  It was Eric Stoltz’s.

  That’s what director Robert Zemeckis said in an interview that appears with Stoltz’s Marty McFly footage in “Back to the Future 25th Anniversary Trilogy,” being released on Blu-Ray on Oct. 26.

  Zemeckis said he had done five weeks of shooting with Stoltz before the switch was made.

  He said the change was “heartbreaking for everybody.”

  (Except for Fox, that is.)

  Steven Spielberg, who produced the film, said Zemeckis called about the difficult decision.

  “He showed me the first five weeks of shooting that he had put together,” Spielberg said. “And he said, ‘I just don’t think we’re getting the laughs I was hoping we would get.’”

  Spielberg said he backed up Zemeckis’ decision.

  “Back to the Future” grossed $381 million at the box office.

  Good decision.

  Who is Jasmine Waltz?

  David Arquette recently went on Howard Stern’s Sirius show and confirmed that he had a fling with Jasmine Waltz, an aspiring actress who spends her nights serving drinks at Los Angeles hot spots – and punching starlets.

  She was reportedly the Hollywood waitress who famously punched Lindsay Lohan on her birthday in July.

  “A waitress just hit me – punched me for no reason,” Lohan Tweeted later that night.

  Apparently it wasn’t a random act of violence. The incident stemmed out of jealousy since Lohan was hanging out with Doug Reinhardt, who used to date Waltz. (He’s currently linked to Paris Hilton.)

  “The waitress has a history with Doug Reinhardt, and Lohan was hanging out with him. She was jealous, and out of nowhere, the waitress punched her in the face!” an insider told US Weekly at the time.

  Afterwards, “Lohan ran out.”

  But Reinhardt isn’t the only famous guy that the 28-year-old has been linked to.

  In early 2009 she dated “Americal Idol” host Ryan Seacrest. The relationship lasted long enough for him to whisk her away to Paris and frolic around Hollywood for a few months before it ultimately fizzled.

  Christina Aguilera separates from husband

  Christina Aguilera and her husband Jordan Bratman have split, according to a statement released by the singer Tuesday.

  “Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever,” Aguilera said in the statement.

  According to a report from Us magazine, the couple, who wed in 2005, have been living separately “for a few months,” but have yet to decide if they want to divorce.

  “They were very much in love,” a source tells the magazine. “But over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife.”

  Gwyneth Paltrow and Lisa Rinna

  Lisa Rinna is the latest female star to come forward and talk about unwanted sexual advances from casting directors in Hollywood.

  In an interview with PopEater.com’s Rob Shuter, Rinna says she lost a role on a “big TV series” because she wouldn’t “bend over a chair in a producers’ office for ‘just a quickie.’”

  “Just pull your panties down and bend over and the role is yours,” Rinna quoted the unnamed director as saying.

  The Old Spice Guy’s commercials have been viewed by over 40 million people on Youtube.

  They are so popular, the actor in them, Isaiah Mustafa, just got offered his own network show.

  Bu now a puppet who already has his own show is hot on Mustafa’s heels.

  Sesame Street’s Grover has a new “commercial” out called “Smell Like a Monster.”

  Minka Kelly named Esquire magazine's 'Sexiest Woman Alive'

  Derek Jeter’s girlfriend, actress Minka Kelly, has been named the Sexiest Woman Alive for 2010 by Esquire magazine.

  In the November issue of the magazine, the “Friday Night Lights” star is interviewed about her transition to fame from a scrub nurse. No really, she was knee-deep in C-sections, amputations and gun shot wounds when she got the call that she’d been picked for a principal role in a new network drama. Then 26, Kelly never looked back.

  Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson film reunion in the works

  Is there a screen big enough for this dynamic duo?

  Two of Hollywood’s most outsized personalities, Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson, have been approached to star in “El Presidente,” a comedy penned by late-night joke writer Dan Goor, the Los Angeles Times’ 24 Frames column reports.

  The two famously last squared off in the blockbuster “A Few Good Men.”

  This time around, Nicholson would play a bumbling ex president, and Cruise his Secret Service agent.

  Warner Bros. has made overtures to both, according to the report.

  Unless it’s not truth. Which we could not handle.

  Say good-bye to Hollywood’s most famous trout pout!

  Former “Melrose Place” star Lisa Rinna, who became known the universe over for her impossibly plumped up lips, finally had enough.

  On August 26, the 47-year-old actress had her pucker popped.

  “My lips started to define who I am,” Rinna told People magazine. “That bothered me.”

  Dana Delany opens up about botched Botox job

  “Desperate Housewives” star Dana Delany says a botched Botox job left with her a droopy eye.

  The former “China Beach” star, 54, is on the cover of Prevention magazine, where she talks about the plastic surgery mistake.

  She says, “Something nobody ever talks about is doctor error. Seven years ago, I had never even heard about Botox. My dermatologist was saying, ‘You should try it.’ He injected my forehead, hit a nerve and created a huge hematoma. The nerve has been dead ever since.”

  J.K. Rowling may release more installments in 'Harry Potter' series

  Back in 2007, JK Rowling, the mastermind behind the hugely successful Harry Potter stories said that the seventh novel, “Harry Potter and the Deadly Hollows,” would be the last in the series.

  But now she seems to be changing her tune just a bit.

  On Friday, she revealed on “Oprah” that the characters are still very much alive in her head and she “could definitely” pen a few more tales about the boy wizard and his friends.
