“The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart has been named the Most Influential Man of 2010 by AskMen readers, the magazine announced Tuesday.

Now in its fifth year, the annual Top 49 Most Influential Men contest asks 16 million monthly readers which male figures have made the biggest impact on society.

Rounding out the top 5 were Microsoft chairman Bill Gates, Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg, Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and rapper Kanye West.

“It seems that this year in particular, our readers have chosen unlikely influencers; guys who don’t always play by the rules, and in many cases, created their own norms in opposition to the current times,” James Bassil, Editor-in-Chief of AskMen said. “Jon Stewart earned his title by speaking frankly, and in the process, successfully engaging millions of ordinary citizens in politics.”

This year saw some significant changes to the list, with President Barack Obama dropping from No. 4 to No. 21 and golfer Tiger Woods not making the list at all.
