  Kate Gosselin is sick of being single, and now she’s ready to mingle.

  Yep, the mom of eight is ready to date!

  (Okay we’ll stop rhyming now.)

  A source close to the ‘Kate Plus 8′ star tells FOX411.com that after six years of scheduling herself around her kids, now that they’re finally all in school at the same time, she’s ready to get back out on the market.

  “She is considering dating, as long as it doesn’t take away from being with the children,” said the insider. “Kate never really imagined what her life would be like with the sextuplets in school most of the day. She and Jon used to talk about it like it was a far off dream when they were raising them and now that it’s real and Jon is out of her life, it’s surreal.”

  Hair care company takes out $1M insurance policy on Troy Polamalu's hair

  Troy Polamalu's locks are now worth a million bucks.

  Hair-care company Head & Shoulders has taken out a $1 million dollar insurance policy on Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu’s hair to ensure his trademark locks won’t get damaged during the NFL season.

  The company made the announcement Monday, noting that it was the first time in history that an insurance policy of this type had been ordered. According to a press release from Head & Shoulders, his hair is so thick that, end to end, it spans 1,100 football fields and can hold approximately 24,062 pounds.

  “Head & Shoulders has gone above and beyond by insuring my Samoan locks for a cool $1 million dollars,” Polamalu said. “This reinforces that my full and thick hair is unstoppable.”

  Polamalu became a spokesman for the company last year. He has not cut his hair in seven years.

  Karissa Shannon admits to sex tape with Heidi Montag, claims Spencer Pratt stole it

  Hugh Hefner’s ex-girlfriend, Playboy playmate Karissa Shannon, says she made a sex tape with Heidi Montag that was then stolen by Montag’s estranged husband Spencer Pratt.

  The former “Girls Next Door” star told RadarOnline.com “there is a sex tape of me and Heidi,” adding that Pratt was not present when they shot the footage.

  “It’s just me and Heidi, that’s it,” she said.

  Pratt threatened to release a sex tape of Montag earlier this month, but Shannon argues that he is not the tapes owner, claiming he stole her camera when he picked some of his items from Montag’s Malibu home.

  EXCLUSIVE: Linsday Lohan cashing in on post-incarceration interest

  Lindsay Lohan is making bank, but not at the box office.

  A source tells FOX411.com that the deals her mother Dina Lohan is making for her involving post-rehab interviews and product placement are keeping the actress solvent and flush enough to pay her $130,000 rehab bill, with money left over.

  Lindsay, 24, has her team of people around her now in Los Angeles, sorting out offers and figuring out how best to sustain this boost to her income.

  “Lindsay’s New York team has flown out to Los Angeles for the next few weeks to broker deals and manage her time when she isn’t in rehab outpatient classes,” the pal tells FOX411.com. “She has tons of bills to pay, thanks to her sentence, so it’s important she grab every post-rehab opportunity. In that sense, she is very focused and driven right now on using her recovery as a stepping stone.”

  Several companies have already approached Lindsay with product deals.

  Miley Cyrus and boyfriend Liam Hemsworth split

  Miley Cyrus has split from her boyfriend and “The Last Song” co-star Liam Hemsworth, according to a report from Us magazine.

  The two met on the set of the 2009 Nicholas Sparks film and began dating during production.

  But Hemsworth’s rep confirmed the news Wednesday, telling Radar Online and Us magazine, “it’s true.”

  Cyrus, 17, said Hemsworth, 20, have been denying reports of a split since June, despite Cyrus’ claims that they were “so happy” together.

  Nine months after bragging that she looked and felt the best she ever had after having 10 cosmetic surgical procedures done in one day, Heidi Montag has changed her tune.

  Now she says she’s in constant pain, and she wants her fake G-cups removed.

  Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren’s lawyers issued a statement Tuesday saying the couple had divorced.

  The news came as no surprise given the sheer volume of women who had stepped forward to say they had slept with the married professional golfer over the years.

  Jen Aniston sparks outrage after referring to herself as a 'retard'

  Jennifer Aniston is in hot water for using a politically incorrect term on “Live with Regis & Kelly” Thursday morning.

  While promoting her flick “The Switch,” Aniston discussed her recent Barbra Streisand-inspired photo shoot for “Harper’s Bazaar” on the show. “Yeah, I got to play dress up,” Jen said to Regis, “I do it for a living, like a retard!”

  Now, disability advocates are bashing the actress for her word choice.

  A rep for the Special Olympics tells “Us Weekly,” “People with intellectual disabilities have fought their whole lives for understanding and recognition. When people continue to use the R word, it’s hurtful.”

  The comments come on the heels of criticism after Aniston said women don’t have to settle for a man to start a family. Conservative family advocates accused her of downplaying the importance of the role of a father in a child’s life.
