  • Vanessa Carlton: I am a proud bisexual woman

    FOX 411 | Editor

Following in the footsteps of “True Blood” star Anna Paquin, singer Vanessa Carlton just announced she is a “proud bisexual woman.”

At the Nashville Pride Festival on Saturday, where the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community gathered to hear Carlton, she made the announcement to the crowd of 18,000.

“I’ve never said this before, but I am a proud bisexual woman,” the singer best known for her hit “A Thousand Miles” said.

The 29-year-old has previously been linked to John Mayer and Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins.

Carlton recently made headlines after she was attacked by a pit bull last month while jogging near her father’s home in Pennsylvania.

  • Alexie 'too cute' for 'So You Think You Can Dance'

    IDOL 411 |
    Oh no, not Alexie!
It’s only the first live week of “So You Think You Can Dance,” and already we’re unhappy with the judges’ decision.

We weren’t surprised to see Alexie in the bottom three — Wednesday night’s jeans-and-sneakers hip-hop number really didn’t give her the opportunity to shine. But she’s so graceful and so beautiful — and she just made the show after trying out so many times! We really would have liked to see more of her.
  • Did Betty White accidentally 'out' a Hollywood icon?

    FOX 411 | Editor

Actress Betty White may have “outed” one of Hollywood’s most iconic masculine stars.

In an appearance on “The Joy Behar Show,” the 88-year-old actress suggested actor Cary Grant was gay.

While discussing the once-secret homosexuality of Rock Hudson, White compared his public persona to Grant. “Everybody kind of knew his situation but it didn’t seem to hold back his career,” White said of Hudson. “Cary Grant the same thing.”

When Behar pressed her on the question, she backtracked saying “well, I don’t know,” about the claim before joking, “I never had him.”

  • 'Party of Five' star Jeremy London kidnapped, forced to do drugs, report says

    FOX 411 | Editor

“Party of Five” star Jeremy London was the victim of a violent abduction and robbery where he was held and gunpoint and forced to smoke drugs in a brutal five hour ordeal, according to a report from RadarOnline.com.

London, 37, best known for his work on “Party of Five” and “7th Heaven,” was in the process of changing a flat tire on June 10 when two men approached him and offered to help, Sergeant Steve Douglas of the Palm Springs Police Department told Radar.

According to Douglas, the men then forcibly took London and drove him around in his own vehicle, all while holding him at gunpoint.

  • Miley Cyrus calls Perez Hilton an 'idiot' as blogger fawns over her new single

    FOX 411 | Editor

The fallout from celebrity blogger Perez Hilton’s posting (and then deleting) of an up-the-skirt- photo of 17-year-old Miley Cyrus has taken a few interesting turns.

First, as Fox411.com’s Pop Tarts column exclusively reported, ABC removed ads for “The View” from Hilton’s site.

Then Cyrus herself got in the mix during a phone call to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show.

    PHOTOS: Miley Cyrus Hot Shots.

“That’s like, some idiot being an idiot,” she said of Hilton’s transgression.

    Indeed.

  • Tears and Bad Puns on 'So You Think You Can Dance'

    IDOL 411 |
We were about halfway through this season’s first live episode of “So You Think You Can Dance” when we said, “Wait a minute, nobody has cried yet.”

Fear not: A few minutes later, there were tears aplenty. But before we get to the inevitable two-hankie moment, let’s do a quick run-through of Wednesday night’s performances.

  • Oprah gives staffers hefty cash sum, iPads for O Magazine 10 year anniversary

    FOX 411 | Editor

Don’t read this if you hate your job.

Staffers at Oprah Winfrey’s O Magazine just received one of the sweetest bonuses known to man. To mark then ten-year anniversary of O, the talk show queen gave every one of her staffers an Apple iPad, a leather case engraved with the staffer’s initials and a check for $10,000.

A spokeswoman for Hearst, the publisher of O, said they were “personal gifts to the staff from Oprah to thank them for their hard work and dedication to the magazine.” All staffers received the gift, regardless of how long they had worked there.

The hefty gift resembled some of Oprah’s previous giveaways, including a car giveaway in 2004 to every single member of her audience and all-expenses-paid vacations for her staff to exotic locales like the Mediterranean and Hawaii.

    Snazzy.

  • 'Jersey Shore' star releases rap single

    FOX 411 | Editor

Whoever said hip hop was dead obviously had little faith in the abilities of reality stars turned rappers.

    And for good reason.

On the birthday of iconic rapper Tupac Shakur, “Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has released his debut rap single.
