  Anne Taylor apologizes for excessive airbrushing

  Retailer Anne Taylor has apologized for airbrushing their models to appear unnaturally thin on their website.

  Gossip site Jezebel noted that the retailer, best known for it’s professional attire, posted photos of their fit models with some clearly digitally-enhanced curves. Many of the shots featured women with hips altered to appear significantly smaller than their shoulders.

  Rihanna releases R-rated video for her 'Rated R' album

  Rihanna dons black face and writhes around topless, wearing what appears to be a crown of thorns, in the video for her latest single from her “Rated R” album.

  In the first segment of the video for “Rockstar 101,” the singer wears only chains, her body covered in black paint, which she also smears on her face.

  Later in the video she tones it down a bit, imitating the guitarist Slash, who contributed the song’s guitar licks.

  “The video is way better with her being me instead of me being me,” he told MTV.

  Let’s hope he doesn’t ever return the favor and try to imitate Rihanna in one the the videos for his new album. We do not need to see Slash half naked in chains.

  Mindy McCready's mom says daughter has tried suicide a dozen times, report says

  Mindy McCready was rushed to a Florida hospital Tuesday morning after her mother called 911 reporting the singer had overdosed on prescription pills.

  While McCready said through a rep that her mother overreacted, that’s not what her mom is saying now.

  Gayle McCready Inge told RadarOnline.com that her daughter tried to kill herself .

  “I asked Mindy how many pills did you take,” Inge told RadarOnline.com. “She said maybe 25. I said that’s it, and that’s when I called 911. Mindy told the 911 people that she absolutely didn’t care if she lost her life. My daughter is very, very sick.”

  McCready’s mom said the singer, who recently released her comeback album “I’m Still Here,” had tried to take her life “maybe 12 or 13 times.”

  “My daughter is very, very sick,” she said.

  Inge described the scene just before she called 911.

  “I tried to question her, but she was in and out of consciousness,” she said. “I wanted to take her to hospital so there wouldn’t be media attention, but as I started to get going, Mindy said she was having trouble breathing.”

  McCready’s lawyer James Moon told RadarOnline.com that speculation of a suicide or overdose was “irresponsible” and his understanding was McCready “she took a mild pain reliever because she hurt her foot and she had a bad reaction to the medicine.”

  McCready and her mother are also in a custody battle over McCready’s four-year-old son, Zander.

  IDOL411: Crystal Bowersox tops Lee DeWyze in final sing-off

  That’s what they call a game-changer.

  After weeks of Lee DeWyze having just about all of the momentum on “American Idol,” Crystal Bowersox turned it around on Tuesday night, handily beating Lee in all three rounds of the final competition.

  We predicted long ago that Crystal was going to take the “Idol” crown this year, even if she’s not quite as “commercial” as she probably needs to be. While we lost faith in her ability to close the deal over the last couple of weeks, after Tuesday night, we think our gut feeling just might have been the right one.

  Maybe.

  That said, Crystal’s gorgeous singing and powerful stage presence were upstaged a few times by her slightly off-kilter personality. After her show-stopping final performance of “Up to the Mountain,” Crystal interrupted what was arguably her biggest moment of the season to awkwardly wish Simon good luck in his post-“Idol” life. Kissing up much?

  Carla Bruni talks dirty in seven languages

  There’s a video out there of France’s first lady Carla Bruni hawking books that tell men and women how to talk about having sex in seven languages.

  Well, at least there was.

  It was on YouTube for awhile before being removed due to an  alleged copyright infringement, but at press time, Gawker.com still had version up on its site.

  The year is 1996, the talk show is called “Eurotrash,” and the “How To” books Bruni is hawking are called “Hot International Sex Guides.”

  Seriously.

  In one exchange with the very strange show’s male hosts, Bruni teaches how to say “Do you like my t***ies”  in several languages.

  She also translates another sex act that involves fingers and fannies.

  “We need this kind of book because we’re traveling around the world and we’re meeting new people every day and we must know what to tell them in case we get in bed with them,” the Italian model explains.

  The video surfaced just a few weeks after half-naked photos of Bruni taken by Helmut Newton were auctioned off.

  The UK’s Daily Mail said Bruni was “shocked and dismayed” that the television interview came out.

  Perhaps she had something to do with the fact that YouTube is no longer hosting the video?

  In an interview with Nightline, the 29-year-old reality star says she had a little cosmetic injection (or twenty), but that’s where it ends.

  Mindy McCready hospitalized, rep denies drug overdose

  Troubled country singer Mindy McCready was admitted to Cape Coral Hospital in Fort Myers, Fla. Tuesday morning, her attorney confirmed in a statement.

  “The family asks for your respect of their privacy and appreciates your thoughts and prayers at this time,” the statement said.

  EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: McCready Doesn’t Want Sex Tape to Go Public.

  The reason she was admitted was not given, but according to TMZ, her rep denied she had overdosed on drugs, and said instead her mother “overreacted” when McCready had a bad reaction to pain medication.

  McCready has been hospitalized several times in the past. In 2005, she was hospitalized twice after twice attempting suicide, once while she was pregnant.

  She attempted suicide again in 2008.

  McCready, once one of the biggest stars in country music, has been in the comeback trail this year promoting her album “I’m Still Here.”
