  • Lindsay Lohan not signed to Linda Lovelace film, which may be a good thing, says source

Last week it sounded like Lindsay Lohan had finally turned things around and landed a leading role in the Linda Lovelace biopic “Inferno.”

Now has learned exclusively it’s not a done deal.

“She is not officially locked into the movie yet,” said a source close to the trouble star. “She does have some reservations about doing the film.”

    As does our insider.

“She is putting herself in a narrow box,” explained the source. “Her photo shoots all look similar and now, she’s considering starring in the Lovelace film about the famous porn star.”

SLIDESHOW: Lindsay Lohan’s Highs and Lows.

The source was referring to Lohan’s recent photo shoots, most of which have a decidedly grungy feel (see above).

The drama over the Lovelace film is the latest in a string of bad news about Lohan’s limping career.

There had been recent rumors that troubled former child star Lindsay Lohan was turning to former troubled former child star Britney Spears’ manager, Larry Rudolph, to get her career back in gear.

But has learned exclusively that while Lohan indeed had a meeting set up with Rudolph, she skipped out on it at the last minute, and the two have not met.

“They had a meeting set up in the fall and Lindsay skipped out on it,” a source close to the erratic star told “Larry was doing it as a friendly gesture, and Lindsay didn’t even show up.”

Even Ryan Seacrest (just named the most powerful TV host by LA Confidential magazine) offered to help Lohan, to no avail.

“Lindsay and Ryan spoke and he wanted to connect her with certain people. He’s a great guy and he put the wheels in motion for her to meet with people like Larry Rudolph that could help her jump start her career again,” said the insider. “She didn’t follow up.”

Friends and associates are upset by her irresponsibility in attending meetings, and most have stopped offering their help, the source said.

“When it comes to Lindsay attending something, her people actually warn in advance that she may not show up. They get burned so often by her not showing up that now they just tell people how it is. There’s no guarantee with Lindsay,” the insider told “There are people offering her help and support, but she is missing out on a lot of it.”
