  • Family attacks causing Kate Gosselin to fall behind in dancing rehearsals

    FOX 411 | Editor

    AP

Just as Kate Gosselin’s dancing is finally starting to improve on “Dancing With the Stars,” her personal life is making it almost impossible for her to rehearse for next week’s show.

A source close to the show tells Fox411.com that Kate is so busy responding to allegations she’s a bad mom, she and partner Toni Dovoloni hardly have time to practice.

“Kate is having one of the toughest weeks of her life. Her brother won’t stop slamming her publicly and she doesn’t understand why he feels compelled to continue battering at her,” the insider said. “It’s become so personal, and she says he’s doing it for the money. It has shattered her, she’s cried a lot and is struggling to cope with it all.”

FOX411: Hugh Hefner Says Playboy’s not for Kate.

Gosselin’s brother and sister-in-law testified before Pennsylvania legislators this week about child labor laws and how they apply to film and television productions. This is not the first time her brother has been openly critical of her parenting.

“Kate used to be very close to him and they haven’t spoken properly in years,” the insider said. “The betrayal won’t stop and that is what hurts her and eats at her.”

But Gosselin cannot let her family problems get in the way of her dancing routine.

“Kate is determined to overcome and push through it all. She will spend the entire weekend dancing with Toni and memorizing every single step,” said our snitch. “It’s the only time she can squeeze in. As long as she tries and keeps going, she believes she is a success. The kids are adorable and always there to greet her when she gets home. They keep Kate going when she is feeling sad, stressed or depressed.”

Indeed the source said her kids are the only reason Kate is doing all this.

“Jon does not provide for the family and she is taking every job she can to ensure a solid financial future for their eight children,” the source told Fox411.com. “She is exhausted and on an emotional roller coaster this week.  It’s a lot to deal with on top of the kids and trying to stay on ‘Dancing With the Stars’!”

  • Jenny McCarthy said Steven Seagal asked her to strip on casting couch

    FOX 411 | Editor

In the wake of a sex trafficking lawsuit brought against the actor by former employee Kayden Nguyen, sordid stories of Steven Seagal’s alleged behind-the-scenes behavior are starting to bubble up.

In a 1998 Movieline interview dug up by CBS Crimesider, Jenny McCarthy said Seagal made her strip and cry on a casting call for the film “Under Siege 2.”

“I go inside Seagal’s office, and he’s by himself and says, ‘Sit on my couch,” McCarthy said. “Then he said, ‘Take off your dress.’ I just started crying and said, ‘Rent my Playboy video, you ass—e!’ and ran out to the car.”

SLIDESHOW: The Lovely and Talented Jenny McCarthy.

McCarthy’s rep confirmed she had made those statements, but refused further comment on the matter. Others however, may not be so reticent.

RadarOnline.com is reporting that additional women will be coming forward with sexual harassment claims against Seagal.

“Several of Seagal’s other victims have already come to my office and submitted sworn declarations detailing the facts of Seagal’s illegal conduct towards them,” Nguyen’s lawyer, William Waldo, told the website.

Kayden Nguyen filed a $1 million sexual trafficking and sexual harassment lawsuit against Seagal.

She said she responded to a Craigslist ad for an executive assistant for the star of “Steven Seagal Lawman” but then realized she has only hired to be “available for his sexual needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

Seagal’s attorney said the lawsuit is “a ridiculous and absurd claim by a disgruntled ex-employee who was fired” and that by speaking at all, Nguyen is violating terms of confidentiality agreement she signed when she began working for Seagal.

“Steven Seagal Lawman” has suspended filming while its star deals with the suit.

  • Local community upset with Gloria Estefan over Obama fundraiser

    FOX 411 | Editor

    AP

Gloria and Emilio Estefan have come under fire with members of their local community for plans to host an event at their home that is expected to bring in millions for the Democratic Party.

But don’t expect this to be a local community event, unless of course residents want to fork over a down-payment on a house or a year’s college tuition. Tickets to the exclusive Democratic National Committee fundraiser are a whopping $30,400-a-couple.

  • Hugh Hefner says Kate Gosselin will not appear in Playboy

    FOX 411 | Editor

    Ashley Dupre? Sure.

    Kelly Bensimon? Why not.

    Kate Gosselin? Never!

That’s what Playboy founder and editor Hugh Hefner said when asked if he would like to see the “Dancing With the Stars” star on the cover of his magazine.

SLIDESHOW: Playboy Celebrity Cover Girl All Stars.

    “I don’t think she’s a celebrity,” he explained.

    And Kelly Bensimon is?

Anyway, Fox 5 San Diego says gosselin joins a long line of stars who have been turned down by Hef, including “The Hills” cast member Audrina Patridge, Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter Kelly, and Britney Spears.

Kate’s ex-husband Jon, however, could still make some money posing in the buff. He reportedly has a standing $20,000 offer to pose in Playgirl.

    Oh my.

  • What's your vote for worst movie remake ever?

    FOX 411 | Editor

We’re getting a bad feeling about the new “Karate Kid” remake, starring Will Smith’s son Jayden in the lead role.

Maybe it is because we’re still shell shocked from seeing all 15 of these terrible remakes in the last 10 years.

Take a look at our slideshow of the Top 15 Worst Remakes of the Decade.

Then tell us who you’d nominate for Worst Remake of All Time in “Comments.”

We’ll pick the Top 10 and run them on Friday.

  • IDOL 411: Andrew and Katie booted from ‘American Idol’

    IDOL 411 |

We called it right. After casting 34 million votes, America decided to send Andrew Garcia and Katie Stevens home.

While it was sad to say goodbye to these two very likable people, “American Idol” is entering the stage of the competition where even the best of the bunch will be going home soon. But let’s not feel too sorry for them — they get to go on tour, be famous and make lots of money.

We did think it was interesting, however, that Andrew and Katie were two of the original front-runners coming out of Hollywood Week, which shows you that you can’t really “call it” that early in the competition.

  • Larry King and seventh wife Shawn Southwick file for divorce, report says

    FOX 411 | Editor

    larry600

Larry King and wife Shawn Southwick are calling it quits.

Each filed papers in L.A. County Superior Court Wednesday citing “irreconcilable differences,” TMZ reports.

King is asking for joint custody of their two young sons.

Southwick is asking for primary custody of the kids, spousal and child support, and real estate including the Beverly Hills house she and King shared.

“It’s a very sad day in Larry’s life and he hopes the divorce will be amicable,” King’s lawyer Susan Carter told the website. “Larry loves his children very much and will be an integral part of their lives.”

King, 76, and Southwick, 50, were married in 1997.

While she is King’s seventh wife, the CNN host has been married eight times. He married Alene Aknis twice.

  • FOX411 EXCLUSIVE: 'Desperate Housewives' stars will stand behind Marc Cherry because they value their jobs, source says

    FOX 411 | Editor

    desperate600

As the stars of “Desperate Housewives” align publicly behind series creator Marc Cherry in his legal fight with former star Nicolette Sheridan, one show insider tells Fox 411.com what’s really going on behind the scenes on the show.

Sheridan, who played overtly sexy Edie Britt for four-plus seasons, is suing Cherry for $20 million with a laundry list of claims including assault and battery. The actress’ court filing says Cherry slapped her across the face during one afternoon of filming.

Our highly-placed set source tells Fox411.com that rumors of an incident between the two had been circling for some time before Sheridan filed her lawsuit.

“I heard there was an incident or disagreement with Nicollette and Marc almost two years ago, but it was a specific scene that did not include all the women, so the other actresses only heard rumors about something going wrong,” the source told Fox411.com. “No one knew if anything happened or if it was just a rumor.”

The insider said that Sheridan was a model employee.

“Nicollette is a lovely person. She’s one of the nicest people you could ever meet, so to totally doubt her is difficult,” said the insider. “She was always a professional at work and she is actually shy and quiet. People always say nice things about working with her, so hearing that people on the set of the show thought she was unprofessional is surprising.”

While Nicollette was quiet onset, the source said Cherry was the opposite, and enjoyed teasing the actresses.

“Marc is a powerful man. He’s very insecure, but has a huge ego. Every now and then he does say things that are outrageously inappropriate to the women, but they will never go against him,” the source said. “Marc is a Hollywood player. They like their jobs and everyone has the occasional odd comment or difficult moment they have to let slide. He makes jokes about their weight or something very personal that is awkward, but they let it go.”

The source said the other “Housewives” like having jobs and are afraid of saying the wrong thing.

“Eva Longoria Parker, Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross are staying out of the rumor mill on this one and letting it play out for the most part,” said the insider. “They will not bite the hand that feeds them, and Marc is the man with all the power on set. He has absolute power with the story and the ladies will stand behind him.”

Calls to ABC for comment on this article were not returned.

  • IDOL 411: Ellen, Ryan make inappropriate comments on Elvis night

    IDOL 411 |

    fat elvis

We can’t help but feel that Elvis Presley wouldn’t have been “All Shook Up” by Tuesday night’s “American Idol” tribute in his honor . . .  except perhaps by Ellen DeGeneres’ use of the word “horny.”

Unlike last week’s Lennon/McCartney tribute, which brought out the best in the contestants, Elvis night — a night honoring one of the best performers of all time — was very sleepy. In fact, it was such an off night that Tim Urban actually gave one of the evening’s best performances.

But nobody let the King down as much as Andrew Garcia. The extremely likable guest mentor (and Season 8 runner-up) Adam Lambert warned Andrew that his performance of “Hound Dog” was boring, and it appears that Andrew didn’t take Adam’s advice to “step his game up” in time for the show. The slowed-down arrangement zapped the soul right out of the song — as Simon put it, it was as if all of Andrew’s “coolness was being sucked out of him.” Andrew was in the bottom three last week, and we’d be surprised if he didn’t go home Wednesday night.

Does Andrew Garcia deserve to be sent home? [Poll]

Meanwhile, “Teflon” Tim Urban is having a quite a comeback. We are as surprised as you are to report that his performance of “I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You” was one of the best of the night — so good that Ryan was actually inspired to slow dance with another man. We agreed with Kara when she called it “my favorite Tim performance ever,” and Simon went so far as to say Tim went from “zero to hero in two weeks.”

WATCH Tim Urban’s performance of “I Can’t Help Falling in Love With You.”

Aaron Kelly, singing “Blue Suede Shoes,” also gave one of our favorite performances of the night. He looked much cooler than he ever has, from his funky fauxhawk to snazzy boots, and he even threw in some cute little dance moves. We would have liked to see a little more where that came from, but Aaron put more energy into that performance than he ever has, so as Simon would say, well done.
