  • Celebs Tweet about news of Corey Haim's death

When the news of actor Corey Haim’s death broke early Wednesday, fans were shocked at the death of the 38-year-old former teen idol.

But fans weren’t the only ones mourning the death of the “Lost Boys” star — many of his Hollywood colleagues took to Twitter to express their sadness at the news.

Ashton Kutcher wrote “Rip Corey Haim ‘Childhood hero.’

Actress Alyssa Milano Tweeted, “Just woke up to the sad, sad news that Corey Haim passed away. RIP sweet boy,” while Melissa Joan Hart said “No way! I just saw him last week at a Lupus event!”

Fellow 80’s teen star Christina Applegate wrote “My thoughts go out to Corey’s family and friends today. So sad.”

“Clerks” director Kevin Smith Tweeted, “Lost Boy goes home: Corey Haim, dead at 38. G’bye LUCAS. You gave hope to the weird and unlikely.”

Comedian Sinbad said “I always dug the young funny corey haim…..wish he could have enjoyed a little more life than he did.”

But it wasn’t just his fellow 80’s stars that expressed regrets about his passing. Former “Cheetah Girl” Adrienne Bailon Tweeted, “Wow…One of my favorite movies growing up was “License to dive”. How many people have to die for us to see that drugs KILL?#RIPCoreyHaim.”
