    TV Gosselin Lawsuit

Jon Gosselin may finally breathe a sigh of relief as his money woes start to wane.

Now that Gosselin and TLC have come to a quiet agreement, Gosselin can be sure they will not be suing him for every penny he has made over the last few months, a source close to the situation tells FOX411.

The divorced dad of eight will even be able to generate a small income, if he allows his children to be filmed for the network’s reality show formerly known as “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” that is.

  • IDOL411: Top 24 enjoy the limelight before their next big challenge

    FOX 411 | Editor

    idol24

The Top 24 ‘American Idol’ semi-finalists were treated to their first red carpet event a few nights ago at STK in Los Angeles. Fox411 was there as previous contestants and some up-and-coming Hollywood stars came out to celebrate the young hopefuls of Season 9 and lend some advice.

Jason Castro, who made it to the Top 4 in Season 7 reflected back on his time on ‘Idol.’

“When you look back it’s really quite a feat to make it to the top 24 – out of hundreds of thousands of people. So these people have a lot to be proud of,” he told Fox411. “It doesn’t get easier but I think this is a huge accomplishment.”

What advice would he give to the new crop of contestants hoping to get as far as he did? “I think they already know everything they need to know because to get to this point you have to kind of know what you’re all about,” he said. “Just keep doing what you were doing, keep perfecting what you are, who you are, what you do and just give it all you got and have a good time.”

Michael Johns, also from Season 7, agreed.

Actors Abbie Cornish and Ryan Phillippe are both claiming they dumped the other in a bitter break-up battle that is playing out in the press.

According to a report from People magazine, Abbie Cornish’s rep claims she decided to end her four-year relationship with Phillippe amid rumors that he had a serious wandering eye.

Her rep tells People that Cornish moved out of the couple’s home Sunday. For the last few months, tabloids have published several reports that the “Traffic” star had been hitting the club circuit and had been linked to other women.

Elton John gave an interview to Parade magazine in which he described his cocaine use and past treatment of young men, and said he thought that Jesus Christ was a homosexual.

“I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems,” John told the Sunday supplement. “On the cross, he forgave the people who crucified him. Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving. I don’t know what makes people so cruel. Try being a gay woman in the Middle East — you’re as good as dead.”

The openly gay star, whose duet with Lady Gaga was one of the highlights of this year’s Grammy Awards, said he often chose young men to be with in the past, but it never worked out.

  • Should Elin Nordegren stand by cheating husband like Silda Spitzer did?

    FOX 411 | Editor

    elin_silda500

Will Elin Nordegren be the next Silda Spitzer?

That’s the big question now that her husband, disgraced golfer Tiger Woods, has announced he will come out of hiding Friday to explain and apologize for his serial infidelity on live television.

When then-New York Governor Eliot Spitzer admitted publicly in 2008 to having sex with a prostitute, his wife Silda stood gravely at his side.

SLIDESHOW: Elin Nordegren: From bikini model to billionaire’s wife.

Now the question is whether Woods’ wife, with whom he has reportedly been in repeated contact over the last few weeks, will do the same.

“That would be the worst thing that he and she could do,” crisis and communications expert Fraser Seitel told Fox411. “She’s got nothing to add. The real question is what is her role? To look like an aggrieved wife?”

  • Designers say they're looking out for real women, even as size zeroes walk their runways

Unless you’re a size zero, watching the rail-thin models walk the runway can make you either want to starve yourself or chow down on a pizza. These girls are so skinny and look so great in the clothes, how is the average American woman (whose size is double digits) supposed to fit in the designer duds?

Most of the designers I talked to at New York Fashion Week over the past few days admit that the runway models’ size probably won’t change, but they do keep their customers in mind. Half of the dynamic duo Badgley Mischka, Mark Badgley, told me they don’t just think about stick thin models or designing for a size 2.

“We think about how we can address a real women’s needs as well,” he told Fox411. “We fit our production on a size 8 woman, who’s had three children, who’s proportions are very normal, real world, and we sell size 14s and 16s and 18s.”

Designer and “Project Runway” judge Michael Kors said good clothes have the possibility of working on many sizes. His line ranges from a zero to 24. He told me he won’t take on unhealthy models, but cautioned that fashion followers had to be realistic about the profession.

  • Temper temper, Gary Coleman!

    FOX 411 | Editor

“I don’t have a volatile relationship with anybody!”

When a celebrity interview starts with the celebrity yelling the above quote, you just know what is going to happen next.

    Volatility.

Watch Gary Coleman take offense at being labeled volatile and storm off the set of “The Insider.”

  • IDOL 411: Seven of top 24 contestants chosen, Mary goes bye-bye

“American Idol” is down one rocker chick — and up one lovable personal trainer.

In a perfect tease to get you to watch again on Wednesday night, Simon, Randy, Kara, and Ellen announced only seven of the Top 24 contestants in Tuesday’s episode.

While the show dragged out the whittling-down process for two (sometimes excruciating) hours, it was pretty clear from names like Katie Stevens, Casey James, and Michael “Big Mike” Lynche that all of “Room 1” was going through to the Top 46.

“Room 2” wasn’t so lucky. The biggest blow of the night was dealt to Mary Powers, the 28-year-old rocker chick who basically went psycho during group week, accusing one fellow contestant of being “the weakest link.”

  • IDOL 411: Some of the Top 24 on 'American Idol' to be revealed tonight!

    IDOL 411 |

    IDOLgraphic

Ah! “American Idol,” what are you doing to us? First we learn that this is Simon’s last year, then we get a new judge, then you switch out our beloved Coke cups, and now THIS? Really, “AI,” some of us are not good with change.

The last week of the Hollywood rounds usually starts with one night of final solo performances. On the last night the singers face the judges like Zod, Ursa, and Non in front of the Krypton council. Then they’re grouped and directed to different rooms where they anxiously wait to find out who’ll be jettisoned into the Phantom Zone.

    It’s great!

Especially when the singers glance around at one another, clearly trying to gauge their chances based on their competitors. “That guy was awful! Wait, does that mean I’m awful?”

But Fox announced that this season “Idol” will switch up Hollywood, revealing some of the Top 24 this Tuesday and the remainder on Wednesday. Presumably they’re spacing it out over two nights to program against the Olympics.

Really? Is ice dancing that big of a draw?

However they choose to play it out, some front-runners have already emerged.

Let’s get the clichés out of the way first. Screamy, obnoxious Mary Powers will be portraying the role of Pink this year, minus the talent and charm. Dreamy Tim Urban didn’t exactly blow away the judges with his Dallas audition, but the tweeners will love his Jonas- and Bieber-ness. Church-singing, mother-minding Jermaine Sellers is pretty adorable as well, and he’ll clearly be the wholesome one this year. He even sang “What if God Was One of Us.” I mean, come on.

Now to the really good stuff. “Idol” has a chance this year to put through some people who are interesting and talented, if not immediately mass-marketable.

At the top of the class is Crystal Bowersox, who got a standing ovation (and backup vocals from her competitors) with her fantastic acoustic version of “(You Make Me Feel Like) a Natural Woman.” Hopefully, Idol won’t try to make her over into its idea of what a young female singer should look like. Andrew Garcia also might not fit the mold of your average pop singer, but his crazy good acoustic arrangement of Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up” was amazing. Frankly, platinum blonde Lilly Scott’s take on Ella Fitzgerald’s “Lullaby of Birdland” could be a hit single right now. We hate (and I mean really, really hate) to echo Kara, but she was indeed unique and did her own thing.
