  It was a battle of the blonde divas last night as country singers Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift were up for the same honors at the People’s Choice Awards.

  Underwood snagged a favorite country artist, beating out Swift for the award. But Swift won big with the favorite female artist award.

  But it wasn’t all about the music, as both women wore fashionable ensembles on the red carpet.

  Report: Katy Perry, Russell Brand engaged!

  Singer and Glamour magazine cover girl Katy Perry is officially engaged to her comedian beau Russell Brand.

  According to Glamour magazine, the modern-day pin-up accepted Brand’s New Year’s eve proposal in India.

  Her rep tells Glamour that Brand, famous for his outlandish jokes and potty humor, proposed to Perry in a tent at the foot of a mountain.

  Perry, 25, and Brand, 34, have been dating since last fall, when Brand flirted with the star while hosting the MTV Video Music Awards in September. The duo has been inseparable ever since and decided to spend the new year in India.

  The two met on the set of the film “Get Him to the Greek.”

  Tiger Woods hiding in New York Knick bigwig's waterfront mansion, report says

  Everyone’s asking: where’s Woods?

  They could make a new “Where’s Waldo”-style kids’ book out of this scandal, the way Tiger Woods has been hiding out!

  On Wednesday, Us Weekly reported that the still-married golfer is staying with  billionaire Jim Dolan, the CEO of Cablevision and owner of Madison Square Garden and the New York Knicks.

  Dolan reached out to Woods and offered to hide him out at his $13.5 million waterfront estate on New York’s Long Island a week after his sex scandal broke, the magazine said.

  “Tiger’s been seeing a shrink who goes to Dolan’s house,” a source told Us.

  But Dolan says it’s not so.

  “It is categorically false and preposterous on its face,” a rep for Dolan said in a statement.

  But Us is sticking with its story, saying Dolan has also put his fleet of jets at the golfer’s disposal.

  What, Woods’ handful of private planes wasn’t enough?

  Kate Gosselin debuts new hairstyle for People magazine

  It’s not that we didn’t want to like Kate Gosselin’s new look on the cover of People magazine, where she triumphantly declares “I’m starting over.”

  But as human beings with functioning eyeballs, we simply couldn’t get past the terrible look of her new long hair weave, complete with highlights and short layers.

  And while we never thought this was possible, it appears her new hair is, shockingly, worse than the porcupine cut for which she has become famous. Not only does it look horribly fake, but Gosselin still seems to have the same short cut as always, only this time she has one massive hair-piece attached to the back of it.

  “It’s good to have hair again,” Kate tells People. “I never thought I’d have short hair for as long as I did. I feel like this is a fresh start, a fresh me, a fresh life.”

  Later, she refers to herself as the new “Kate Clean Slate.”

  “I’m rebuilding. There’s no option for this not to be a good year. Now I get to start over with a new self and new goals.”

  If we can Kate, we’d suggest goal number one is finding a new hairstylist.

  British Actress Sadie Frost is proud to say that just because she is a celebrity doesn’t mean she has a perfect body.

  The 44-year-old mother of four and ex-wife of Jude Law appears in the new issue of Grazia magazine completely nude and airbrush free. The actress claims that her goal is to show that her body is real and natural and that women should be proud of the bodies they have.

  'Out of control' Casey Johnson lied to friends that she needed money for daughter, pal says

  Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson was found dead Monday at the age of 30 amid a public romance with bisexual reality star Tila Tequila and constant Johnson family drama over money.

  One of Casey’s friends tells Fox411.com that the heiress’ death is “sad but not surprising.”

  “Casey has been wild since her teenage years and never really slowed down,” said the pal, who has known her for years. “Her family often cut off her money and asked her to get help and get her life together. She loved going out in NYC or LA. She used to frequent Bungalow 8 with friends in New York. Casey loved being around her friends, dancing and forgetting about her family and her personal problems.”

  Diabetes likely a contributing factor in Casey Johnson's death, source says

  Casey Johnson’s death at age 30 makes her the latest in a string of young Hollywood stars to die suddenly in recent months.

  Celebrity deejay and reality star DJ AM overdosed on a combination of illegal and prescription drugs, including crack cocaine and Oxycontin, on August 28, 2009. He was 36.

  Actress Brittany Murphy died at age 32 on December 20, 2009, after which several bottles of prescription medications were found in her home. (Her cause of death has yet to be released by the coroner’s office.)

  Now a source who has been briefed on the Casey Johnson matter tells Fox411.com that her diabetes may have been a contributing factor in the Johnson & Johnson heiress’s death.

  Tila Tequila's girlfriend Casey Johnson dies at age 30

  “Sweet dreams everyone. I’m getting a new car.”

  That ’s what Casey Johnson wrote on her Twitter account at 1:12 a.m. on Dec. 29.

  It was the last anyone heard of her until she was discovered dead in her rented home on Monday, reportedly by a cleaning woman.

  Johnson, heir to the Johnson & Johnson fortune, was 30 years old. Her cause of death has yet to be determined.

  Johnson was engaged to reality star Tila Tequila, who announced last month on a web video that her girlfriend had asked her to get married.

  Tequila confirmed the news Johnson’s death on her Twitter account Monday afternoon.

  Susan Sarandon spent quality time with Jonathan Bricklin over the holidays, source says

  Susan Sarandon and long-time lover Tim Robbins announced their split two days before Christmas, with their rep issuing a statement saying they “separated over the summer” and “no further comments will be made.”

  Since then Sarandon, 63,  has denied she is in a relationship with ping-pong club owner Jonathan Bricklin, 31, as has his rep.

  But an inside source close to Bricklin tells Fox411.com that the two are spending a lot of quality time together.

  Woman who broke Tiger Woods' affair: Rachel Uchitel is a 'celebrity whore'

  Ashley Samson is seen partying with Rachel Uchitel

  The woman who leaked the news of Tiger Woods alleged affair with Rachel Uchitel says the New York based VIP hostess is a “celebrity whore” whom she is considering suing for “trashing her name.”

  In a new interview with Radar Online.com, Ashley Samson says Uchitel bragged about her affair with the golfer while the two women vacationed together in Spain with mutual friends.

  “She told me ‘I’m having an affair with Tiger Woods and we’re in love,’” Samson said.

  Immediately following the news of Uchitel and Woods’ affair, Uchitel slammed Samson for selling her story to the National Enquirer and denied any friendship between them.

  “I’m not friend with Ashley Simpson or whatever her name is,” Uchitel told the New York Daily News in November.
