  • Report: Tiger Woods in sex rehab in Mississippi

    FOX 411 | Editor

    GOLF WOODS/BREAK

Troubled golfer Tiger Woods is being treated for sex addiction at a center in Hattiesburg, Miss., RadarOnline.com is reporting.

According to Radar, Woods checked into Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services. The clinic is said to be one of the top in the nation for sexual addiction.

According to their Web site, Pine Grove features a “Gentle Path” program, which involves two parts. First, patients are subject to a comprehensive diagnostic assessment and are later treated in a residential program that lasts about six weeks.

SLIDESHOW: The Women Linked to Tiger Woods

Many have speculated that Woods suffers from a sex addiction. Following a November accident outside of his Florida home, Woods was linked to 14 different women ranging from party hostesses to waitresses to prostitutes.

Last week, one of Woods’ alleged mistresses said she would be shopping a tell-all book with sordid details of the married golfer’s sex life, including “threesomes,” “girl-on-girl sex parties” and even sex with other men.

Woods has not been seen for weeks and paparazzi have been scrambling to find his latest wherabouts. Us Weekly recently reported that he is staying with billionaire Jim Dolan, the CEO of Cablevision and owner of Madison Square Garden and the New York Knicks.

Dolan denied any claims that he was housing Woods.

  • Idol 411: Classily classifying the classic 'American Idol' hopefuls

FILE: Fans greet 'American Idol' host at a call back for contestants in Denver.

The “Idol” behemoth charged into prime time this week, and with it comes our favorite bit of schadenfreudy television goodness: the auditions. It’s comforting somehow that the cities may change, the judges may change, Ryan’s highlights may change, but by and large, year after year, the contestants remain the same.

Did you miss Paula Abdul during this week’s “American Idol” auditions? [Poll]

    Give My Regards to Broadway
Bright-eyed, excitable musical theater teens have always been preternaturally sucked into the “Idol” orbit, but with the recent success of “Glee” it seems an enthusiastic Jazz Hands Army has been unleashed to blitz the unsuspecting judges.

Just a Small Town Girl, Living in a Lonely World
She took the midnight train going right back to Tiny Town, USA, after she got cut the first week in Hollywood.

I Was Born in the U.S.A.
Every year “Idol” gives us the Average American Guy. He’s a farmer. He’s a fireman. He’s a welder. He’s a single dad. He’s a big, teddy bear of a guy with a tender heart, and he has absolutely no chance of making it to the final 12. It’s generally not a great sign for their “Idol” future when the judges go on about a contestant’s “energy” and “personality” and not so much about their “singing ability.” I’m looking at you, mini-mohawked cop from Tennessee.

    But I’m a Creep, I’m a Weirdo
Simon put a fine point on this one: “You sing like a three-year-old girl, dress like LaToya Jackson, and you’ve got a beard.”

Shout! A Little Bit Louder Now!
In a blatant thumb-nose to your silly human logic, these singers are convinced that the key to masking their lack of ability lies in VOLUME VOLUME VOLUME.

You Can’t Hide Your Lyin’ Eyes
The jokers show up in every city, trying to put one over on us. For the most part it’s just annoying, but the unholy spawn of Cillian Murphy and Clark Kent who agitated Kara in Boston was fantastic.

    I Want It That Way
The boy band rejects are easy to spot. Spiky gelled hair? Check. Sculpted eyebrows? Check. Super-white teeth? Check. Breathy, overly emotive warbling that will immediately be overshadowed by actual singers in the Hollywood rounds? Check.

Hit Me Baby One More Time
Some delusional hopefuls think if their mangling of “Hero” didn’t impress the judges then desperately belting out “I Will Always Love You” while being escorted from the room by security will surely turn them around.

    Sad Songs Say So Much
The archetypal “Idol” contestant segment begins with soft music over mix-and-match images of hospital equipment, small children and unfortunate dentistry, with a tale told sadly by Ryan. The music swells as we wait to find out if they’ve made it, even though we know they have. It’s like “Queen for a Day.” Literally, a day. Because there’s no room for pathos in the Hollywood, and not even Ellen can save the mediocre singers, no matter how many times they’ve almost been killed by a tornado or a tractor or a terrier.

    Seems like old times.

Well, if you count eight months ago old.

Jay Leno has renegotiated his contract and will host the “Tonight Show” from 11:35-12:35 on NBC, again, TMZ reported on Thursday.

That means current host Conan O’Brien would seem to be out of a job.

    Unless they plan to co-host.

    Ba dum bum.

TMZ said Leno was guaranteed the 10 pm hour in his contract, and that by moving him to 11:35, NBC was in breach of his contract, which is why they needed to do a new deal.

  • Heidi Montag: Pop music gate-crasher or queen of pop?

    FOX 411 | Editor

    MISSUNIVERSE/

Many moons ago in the dark ages of the ’80s, an upstart soul singer by the name of Terrence Trent D’Arby claimed that he was destined to be as big as the Beatles. Thirty years since their breakup, the Beatles are still one of the top-selling acts in music history and remain an inspiration for anyone looking pick up a guitar or write a song.

Where’s Terrence Trent d’Arby now? He goes by the name Sananda Maitreya and is playing some gigs in Switzerland. The lesson? Be careful who you compare yourself to.

Heidi Montag should heed this lesson well.

  • 'Idol' Recap: Simon has a migraine and so do we

    IDOL 411 |

    IdolMen

With a few exceptions, the second night of the ninth season premiere of “American Idol” can be summed up in one word: painful.

In perhaps an omen of what was to come, the Atlanta auditions started with Randy not even wanting to get out of his car. A few rounds later, Simon walked off the set with a migraine. The only person who looked even more bored than Simon was guest-judge Mary J. Blige, who erupted in mock tears behind Kara’s back over one contestant and generally didn’t seem very impressed by the talent.

    We can’t really blame her.

  • Conan Watch: You're either with COCO, or you're against COCO

    FOX 411 | Editor

    coco

There’s a Facebook group adding friends faster than you can say:

    “I’m With COCO.”

Los Angeles designer Mike Mitchell created the “I’m With COCO” poster and accompanying Facebook page to show his solidarity with the reeling talk show host, and to show his displeasure with how O’Brien has been treated after moving from New York to L.A.

“It’s embarrassing as an Angeleno: We bring Conan all the way here [from New York] and after seven months say ‘never mind’?” Mitchell told Entertainment Weekly.

How fast is the group growing? In the very short time it has taken to write this very short blog post about it, “I’m With COCO” has gained over 1,000 new fans.
