The Florida Department of Children and Families is investigating the possibility that Tiger Woods and wife Elin Nordegren were involved in a domestic dispute with a weapon, RadarOnline.com is reporting.

According to police dispatch notes obtained exclusively by Radar, DCF attempted to make an in-home visit to the Woods’ residence last weekend, accompanied by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. The notes use police code, and reportedly detail a domestic incident that took place in front of their young children involving a weapon, which sources say is a golf club.

DCF asked the Sheriff’s office to assist Friday. Deputies arrived at Woods’ gated community shortly after 3 p.m. and the police involvement was over shortly after 4 p.m. The report noted “negative contact,” although police involvement in the case is closed.

Capt. Angelo Nieves of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department told Radar that his deputies did indeed meet with DCF, but would not share any details of the case.

Shortly after Woods’ mysterious car accident Thanksgiving weekend, reports claimed that Elin Nordegren had attacked her husband with golf clubs over his infidelity. Woods has admitted to being unfaithful to his wife and has been linked to at least 13 different women.

FOX FORUM: Why Elin Should Stay With Tiger

On Friday evening, Woods told fans via his Web site that he would be taking an indefinite break from professional golf saying, “I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father and person.”

Woods and his wife have been married for five years and have a 2-year-old daughter and 10-month-old son.

  • Fox411 Movie Review: 'Invictus' stars Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela

    (Warner Bros. Pictures)

    By Marshall Fine

‘Invictus’ stars Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela, a role he seems born to play.

Rather than a straight biopic, director Clint Eastwood tells the true story of Mandela’s efforts to unite his country after years of bitter racial strife, using the national rugby team as the vehicle. Matt Damon stars as the team captain, who is inspired by Mandela’s vision to lead his team, a severe underdog, to victory in the rugby World Cup, which is being held in South Africa.

  • Attorney: Tiger Woods could face prostitution charges if he paid for sex in New York

    FOX 411 | Editor

    Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods spent upwards of $60,000 for high-priced escorts from former madam Michelle Braun, the New York Post reported Friday.

Braun told the paper that between 2006 and 2007, Woods paid for at least four dates with escorts from her roster. For one “pillow-lipped” Manhattan model named Loredana, the married billionaire paid $15,000 for a single “date,” Braun said.

If Braun’s allegations are true, the golf-great could be in serious legal trouble, New York City-based attorney Tom Kenniff tells FoxNews.com

“He could be charged with patronizing a prostitute, a misdemeanor in New York,” Kennif said. “Depending on the statute of limitations, if there are witnesses swearing out statements, and there is a money trail that can be corroborated, it’s a reasonable likelihood” that Woods could be charged.

If convicted, Woods could face up to a year in jail, Kennif said.

  • Report: Elin Nordegren Plans to Stick With Tiger Woods

    FOX 411 | Editor

    GOLF WOODS/

Tiger Woods may finally have a reason to celebrate after a rough few weeks.

According to People magazine, Woods’ allegedly scorned wife Elin Nordegren is planning to stay with the golfer for the sake of the children.

“She’s a child of divorce and that’s not something she’s likely going to want to do,” a source told the magazine. “She really believes in the importance of parents and staying together.

Nordegren’s parents reportedly divorced when she and her twin sister Josefin were just six years old.

Tiger and Elin have two children together, Sam, 2, and Charlie, 10 months.

But while the public continues to be shocked by the constant stream of revelations, sources say Elin heard the news right from her husband’s mouth.

“Tiger has told Elin everything,” a source close the model-turned-billionaire’s-wife told People. “Nothing that’s coming out now is a surprise. She knows what he has done, and they’ve had some long talks about it. They are getting everything out in the open.”

“She is devastated by the extent of Tiger’s cheating, but she did not collapse on the bed like a vegetable,” a source said.

Meanwhile, sources told FoxNews.com’s Pop Tarts that the two are considering leaving the country “very soon” to a private island closer to Sweden and Elin’s family.

“Elin’s family couldn’t be more devastated,” the source told Tarts, “But they want [Tiger and Elin] together for the kids’ sake.”

Woods apologized to his wife and fans via statement following a mysterious accident Thanksgiving weekend. He was hospitalized after driving his Cadillac Escalade into a tree and fire hydrant. Within hours of the accident, several published reports claimed that Woods had fled his home after an angry Elin confronted him about an affair. Since then, he has been linked to at least 11 different women.

“I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart,” Woods said. “I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings.”

Sources close to the family say Woods’ is indeed genuinely sorry for his behavior.

“He’s not perfect, we all know that now,” an insider added. “But he’s a good father, and he wants to be a good husband, too.”

  • Penelope Cruz says dangerous dancing role was an 'adrenaline rush'

    FOX 411 | Editor

    Screening Nine LA

The role of a sultry dancer in “Nine” may have been a dream-come-true for actress Penelope Cruz, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t have its fair share of safety hazards.

Fox News caught up with the stunning star at the Los Angeles screening of the film, where she told us all about the dangers of dancing suspended from a rope 40 feet in the air.

“[Avoiding injury] was my main worry because my number stars on a slide that is like forty meters high,” Cruz said. “You really don’t see that in the film, but you cannot appreciate how high it was but there were a few risks … It demands for you to be totally present and totally alert so that you don’t get hurt, but it [gives you a feeling of being] alive.”

Cruz, who trained as ballet dancer as a child, told Fox she worked with professional dancers to prepare for the role and danced for hours every day for months.

“ I was nervous and scared, but I was well protected. You know, we had the best dancers that were training with us. In my case, I had three months of preparation.

And despite her frequent massages to soothe those overworked muscles, she said she did sustain a few minor injuries, which she viewed as battle scars.

“ I didn’t want the marks [that I got on my hands] from the ropes to go away because they were like my little medals, you know, from the number. But of course they were in the way. I was so used to them after three months of training, you don’t  even feel the physical pain anymore. You go into a different [place].”

The film is already earning Oscar buzz for its performances from the star studded cast and Cruz tells us she is thrilled about the early praise.

“I’ve gone to the screenings already and it’s so great to see [the audience] smiling so much when they leave the theater. I think [director Rob Marshall] has done something really powerful that is very contagious. It’s like an adrenaline ride. I really love the movie. I’m very happy  and proud to be a part of it.”

Jessica Simpson is finally moving on from Dallas Cowboys ex Tony Romo.

The blonde beauty was spotted out in New York City Friday with Smashing Pumpkins front-man Billy Corgan and rumor has it the two are a hot new item.

According to E! News, it all began as a harmless crush, but quickly turned into Jessica falling hard and becoming “smitten” with the 42-year-old rocker.

The source even said that both parties consider themselves “officially dating,” quite the declaration by Hollywood standards.

Still reps for both stars have not commented on the matter and another source close to Jessica tells E! that “he’s just another in an endless string of Jessica’s boyfriends. They think he’s too old for her. No one takes any of her boyfriends seriously anymore because she has had so many. They’re all sick of all of them being ‘the one.’”

  • Jesse James' Porn Star Ex-Wife: 'He wanted nothing to do with' daughter for 3 years

    FOX 411 | Editor

    BullockJames

While actress Sandra Bullock and husband Jesse James battle his ex-wife Janine Lindemulder for custody of his five-year-old daughter,  the ex-convict and porn star claims James hasn’t been the perfect father.

In a Life & Style magazine interview obtained exclusively by PopEater.com, Lindemulder said James had no interest in being a father to their daughter for the first three years of her life.

“[I suspect that] he had a hacker erase 30 e-mails from when Sunny was born,” she charges. “The e-mails said, ‘I don’t want Sunny to have my last name. Find her a new daddy.’ After he showed no interest in the first six months, I moved to Oregon. He said, ‘Good, the farther, the better.’ He wanted nothing to do with Sunny for three years of her life.”
