  • Fox411 Exclusive: Danny DeVito opens up about nude scene

Countless Hollywood stars have stripped down in the name of their craft, but let’s be honest, there are some nude scenes we could simply have done without.

One of these will undoubtedly be in an upcoming episode of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” when legendary actor Danny DeVito strips down to his birthday suit for the “Very Sunny Christmas” special.

Fox News caught up with DeVito at The Guys and Dolls Lounge in Los Angeles for the DVD and Blu-Ray Release/Premiere Party, where he told us all about getting naked.

“Well you know it is really interesting because when I signed on to that scene … when they said you’re going to do the naked thing, I loved it,” DeVito said. “I thought it was really great and I was gung-ho about it and then you realize that you’re doing in front of two hundred background atmosphere extras. And you don’t know them and walk out greased and you know, slipping and sliding with your butt out and everything.”

Still, DeVito said the whole experience was a lot of fun and that he was happy to do it.

As for the rest of us, there’s a good chance we probably won’t feel the same about it.

The spirit of this article is cruel, petty and unnecessary. Good Ole Fox 411, perpetuating the whole notion of "if it's not a perfect, plastic Hollywood size zero body, then it's bad/ugly." Way to make people who aren't "perfect" feel bad about themselves. Hey, maybe some insecure teenager will read this and develop an eating disorder or even BETTER, Body Dysmorphic Disorder. That would be cool, huh? Then your article would've had meaning and touched someone's life. Mean, superficial Jerks.

Please, somebody tell these people to cover up. There is nothing pretty about an old man naked or about watching other people have sex. Where have all the really great stars gone? There was a time when they depended on talent and kept there private lives private. That was what made them stars. Now just let it all hang out.Bahhhhhhhh.

Is this piece on DeVito an article or an editorial? Why, when it comes to nudity, the "journalist" always wants to inject his or her opinion about what we would want to see. Well, this is FOX where all news is opinion. "Don't give them the facts, just tell them what to think" is the working philosophy of FOX. I, for one, do not mind seeing the nude body in all its forms. I do mind seeing mindless, gory violence - but journalists never opine about gore.

The tone of this article, as well as the slide show on nudes offends me. Why should only gorgeous people with perfect bodies be allowed nude in movies? I find that super offensive, as well as non-realistic artistically. I find nothing ugly about Kathy Bates, Jack Nickolson, or many of the other people you put in the slide show. I would rather see "real" bodies on screen than the plastic ones created by Hollywood. Why continue to support and perpetuate that? Nothing wrong real nude body!
