  While Jon Gosselin goes on a media blitz saying that soon-to-be ex-wife Kate Gosselin is falling apart and having trouble handling everything, friends tell FOX411 that its Jon who looks like he’s in trouble.

  After seeing him at his twins Mady and Cara’s birthday last week, insiders say Jon is on edge, and may be beginning to crack under the pressure.

  “Jon didn’t shower or clean up for the birthday party. He looked like he was in clothes he had slept in the night before ,” said an eyewitness. “He barely shaved and was a mess. He walked in with his own cake for the girls, but as Kate had promised, she made a traditional cake like she tries to do for every birthday.”

  Co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd were spotted at the Regina Spektor concert at The Electric Factory in Philadelphia. The friends refused to take pictures with fans, but they did say hello and chat with the people at the bar.

  “Twilight” and “Nurse Jackie”’s resident doctor, Peter Facinelli, decided to kill his four hour flight delay by taking pictures with lucky Twihards at the Sony Vaio launch party at Guastavinos restaurant in Manhattan.

  “The City” star Whitney Port was spotted trying on multiple MetalSkin bracelets to wear on her show at New York’s Coterie .

  Mr. Big AKA Chris Noth patiently waited for a pal for over 10 minutes in NYC on the corner of 23rd Street and 5th Avenue in jeans and a casual polo.

  Mariska Hargitay is not a clean freak. She was caught playing barefoot with son August Hermann after going through security at LAX airport in Los Angeles.

  Glee star Lea Michelle taped her afternoon appearance on David Letterman, then treated her parents to a performance of “Rock of Ages” on Broadway.

  Angie Harmon was seen at Country Restaurant at the Carlton Hotel last week, where she was hobnobbing with five teeny tots. Instead of focusing on the adults with her, the mother of three, played with five children, none of which where her own!

  Paris Hilton played with a real baby monkey while boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt, took photos of her at the opening night of Carnival nightclub in New York.

  Ralph Lauren slammed for ad with ultra thin model

  Just as the fashion world seemed to be coming around to promoting realistic portrayals of women, designer Ralph Lauren has come under fire promoting an unhealthy aesthetic of dangerously thin women.

  Bloggers have slammed the legendary American designer for an ad that shows model Filippa Hamilton in what appears to be a heavily altered photo. The ad in question appeared on Boing Boing, with a blogger noting “Dude, her head’s bigger than her pelvis.” Indeed, Hamilton, whose thin body appears to be in keeping with the fashion industry aesthetic of tall and incredibly thin, looks emaciated in the photo.

  But the fashion house did not take well to the criticism and slammed the site, claiming that the use of the image was a copyright infringement. Boing Boing shot back saying it was fair use because the reproduction was being used for purposes such as “criticism, comment, news reporting etc.”

  Still, despite the legal issues, we were concerned by the imagery in the photo. The message of a model who is already probably less than 115 pounds having 20 pounds digitally removed from her body is disconcerting at best. After Glamour magazine and other fashion sites have been praised for the use of plus size models, some are arguing that Ralph Lauren is moving backward.

  Report: Video shows Joe Francis pulling Jayde Nicole's hair

  Security video from the Guys and Dolls nightclub obtained by Radaronline.com seems to show Joe Francis pulling Playboy Playmate Jayde Nicole down by her hair after she spilled her drink on him.

  The alleged altercation took place at the Hollywood hot spot on August 28, and reportedly ended with Nicole’s boyfriend Brody Jenner being tasered outside.

  “It makes me absolutely cringe,” Nicole told Radaronline.com while watching the footage.

  Nicole has filed a $1 million civil lawsuit against Francis in which she claims she suffered in the melee a black eye, swollen face, bruised ribs, a sore and bruised abdomen region, bruised arms and legs, ripped out hair, emotional distress and humiliation, and permanent disability.

  FOX411 EXCLUSIVE: '90210' puts star Jessica Lowndes on a tanning time-out

  File this under “You have to be kidding me.”

  The producers of “90210,” a show based in Beverly Hills, don’t want the show’s leading ladies getting too tanned.

  In fact, FOX411 has learned they’ve placed Jessica Lowndes on a tanning time-out!

  At least that’s what her castmate AnnaLynne McCord was overheard chirping at a recent Hollywood event.

  “AnnaLynne was telling a few people at an Emmy gift suite that producers have been giving everyone hell for their obsession with sun-kissed skin, and they’ve even banned Jessica from any tanning of any kind, whether it’s from natural sunlight, tanning salon beds or a spray-on tan,” says the spy. “AnnaLynne was just glad she wasn’t targeted. She said she looks forward to her Fake Bake spray tan every time she gets it.”

  Lowndes, on the other hand, is apparently not amused.

  “Apparently Jessica was not pleased and complained to AnnaLynne about it,”says the snitch. “She doesn’t want her skin to turn a pasty white while AnnaLynne stays beautifully bronzed!”

  Like, omigod!

  Selena Gomez helps gives back to her community

  “Wizards of Waverly Place” star Selena Gomez made a surprise visit to Charnock Elementary School for OfficeMax’s “A Day Made Better” event in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 6.

  The Disney star (can you say “the next Miley Cyrus?”)  surprised the school with an award and $1,000 worth of school supplies, before spending time with the kids talking about the importance of giving back to the community.

  As Alex Rodriguez practiced with the New York Yankees in the Bronx for the first game of the playoffs on Tuesday afternoon, Kate Hudson was donning a wedding dress just a few miles away in Manhattan. Does that mean the famous couple is ready to walk down the aisle after a whirlwind summer romance?

Alex has to be close to New York for work and his daughters, Natasha and Ella, and Kate has always been fond of the city, so they compromised and got their own place near Manhattanville College.”
