I agree with Dan....we are giving him exactly what he is wanting....STOP....authorities need to just decide what action they are going to take and do it....leave the rest out...we are wasting way too much time on this....all this coverage could be used for better causes...i.e. all the missing children in this country.

EVERYONE has pics of their kids with props. My son is into guns and has a couple of real ones but is the utmost safe with them and can NEVER use them without Dad. But at 8 years old we have a pic with him holding Uncle John's AK47 and another gun even bigger. And he is all smiles of course and we have the pic framed in our house!!! Come on guys, get some real news.

Ok this is just getting out of hand. Once again the media is giving this guy more publicity which in turn is just feeding his cause. STOP GIVING THEM THE ATTENTION!! this is what they want. If you guys are concerned about this lets just throw pictures of every parent who in the 70's let their kids do the following: drink out of a garden hose ride in the back window of a huge land barge (Big Car) put whiskey on finger to rub on baby's gums to stop teething etc....

Clearly Richard Heene is an immature man with no common sense. However, I don't think the baby was in any real danger here. His dad just wanted a 'funny' video of his son. Heene's idea of funny is tasteless and ill-advised, but no real harm was done.

This guy should not even be allowed to have his children. It is upsetting that people will take away the innocence of a child for a shallow laugh...pathetic. There are people in the world that would give anything to have a child and then there are some who don't appreciate the ones they have been given. So sad.

Oh, give me a break. Yes, the guy's a world class pinhead, but who hasn't taken a funny picture of their baby with some sort of prop or clothing or whatever as a joke? I guarantee people will weep and wail and gnash their teeth over this, but it's a complete non-story. Okay...let the ridiculous stuff begin...

i am an educator and a mother as well. it makes my stomach sick to see parents like the Heenees to sacrifice their children to gain fame. I am a 3rd world country girl but i will never sell my soul and my values to a penny. What a shame.

Hate to break it to you, but he probably got the idea from Hallmark Cards. They have a silly card with a photo of a baby with a beer and a cigar. While his video is surely stupid (I don't want to bother watching it) the baby with cigar and beer is hardly shocking. Get a life.
