Lindsay Lohan was in New York while her ex-girlfriend Sam Ronson was hanging out with her ex-best friend Nicole Richie in L.A. (X17Online.com)
Nicole Richie had her second child, Sparrow, a month ago, but that hasn't stopped her from going out and having a good time with friends.
On Friday night, Nicole and boyfriend/baby daddy Joel Madden went out dancing and drinking at Playhouse Hollywood with pal Samantha Ronson. Nicole and the gang did shots of lemon drops and danced together in the VIP room. At one point, Nicole coaxed Sam to get in the DJ booth and spin some of their favorite songs, even though Sam was off the clock.
Clubgoers tell Fox411 that Sam and Nicole were acting like best friends, a scene that put Lindsay Lohan over the edge once she heard about it.
"When Lindsay found out that Sam was out with Nicole, she was not happy!" an insider tells Fox411, explaining that Lindsay and Nicole, once best friends, have grown apart in recent years. "Since Lindsay's return to court last week, she has to be extra careful for probation, and [hearing about] Sam out with Nicole hurt her."
The friend explained the rift between Lindsay and Nicole, and why Sam is stuck in the middle.
"Nicole has made it very clear to Lindsay and to their mutual friends that she wants a better life for her. Nicole hopes Lindsay will get it together and change her behavior, but until she makes a change, Nicole avoids her," says the pal. "Sam and the rest of the Ronson family have remained close to Nicole, Joel and his brothers."
It sounds like Lindsay's ex is trying in vain to stay above the fray.
"Sam loves Nicole and Joel and she cares deeply about Lindsay," the source says. "She in no way wants to hurt her, but Sam will not drop her friendship with Nicole."
Which makes Lohan crazy.
"Lindsay takes her hanging out with Nicole personally [and] as an attack on their on/off relationship," says the pal.
Come on people. We're talking about an older lesbian woman in Sam Ronson who has no claim to fame in and of herself. She's a female Rasputin - brings nothing to the table, seduces famous woman, and somehow rides their fame and glory to the top. And then you have Lohan who has made her private life a public spectacle with ther very public homosexual lifestyle, drugs, and alcohol that rivals lifers in prison. They're both losers and people most of you would never associate with in real life.
I have been in a coma for 45 years and just woke up. Girls have "girlfriends" now and brag about it? People name girls "Sam" and boys "Sparrow"? Men conceive and raise children outside of marriage and are called "baby daddies"? Lesbians are considered normal everyday people? "Sam" (a mannish woman in a space suit and sneakers) "loves Nicole and Joel and... cares deeply about Lindsay"? And these are role models for young people? Eh, put me back to sleep!
I just want to say to those of you who complain about this articles lack of news worthiness, keep in mind, this is an article in the "Entertainment" catagory. If you are looking for hardcore news stories then don't look in this catagory. I personally find this section a nice break from the heart wrenching stories about missing children, wounded soldiers and so forth. It is mindless entertainment, nothing more. So if you insist on reading the articles, kindly do not post comments of complaint.
I don't know why Fox.... gives thought to some stupid lesbian story ... she is out to destroy herself and hurt her family .. These kinds of people look at the world upside down. anyway I guess we have feel sorry for them ... they just need to repent and have some salvation ... I will certainly pray for her and her kind ... you guys should do the same

doubt this is true... just read an article in which nicole states she doesn't drink while she's breastfeeding. doesn't even wear nail-polish while breast-feeding. funny how the media tries to make stories so much more dramatic than they are. who cares.
This is ridiculous, Lindsey needs to get over herself. She has all this talent, but can get out of her own way. I mean seriously is this girl 5 yrs old or what. She mad at someone for being friends with someone else. All because the someone else basically told her until she grows up and get her stuff together, she wants nothing to do with her. Yeah, she a mature woman, and should be taken seriously. NOT!!! Lindsey, go to Rehab and stay there until you complete the program.
