Legendary singer Whitney Houston wasn’t about to let a minor wardrobe malfunction put a damper on her whirlwind comeback, as the diva shrugged off a broken dress strap during a performance in England Saturday.
Houston, 46, was performing on the hit U.K. show “The X-Factor” Saturday when a strap on the back of her silver gown snapped open. Houston paused briefly, visibly annoyed by the malfunction, but then shrugged it off and continued performing.
When Houston finished the performance, her first in the U.K. in 12 years, the audience, including judges Simon Cowell and Danni Minogue, gave her a standing ovation. She later joked to host Dermot O’Leary , “I sang myself out of my clothes.”
Houston’s upbeat attitude has been for good reason, as her comeback has been quite successful after years out of the spotlight. Her single “I Look to You” debuted at number one on the Billboard charts and sold more than 300,000 copies in its first week, according to AOL’s PopEater.
Whitney Houston was super fine and just like yesterday at the Italian Xfactor, she was on top form! Obviously, she was not too happy about the dress snapping in the UK but still she continued to sing LIVE for that matter! Some idiots always want to pick on Whitney! You need to pull yourselves together and move on! Whitney has moved on, always positive energy flowing her way! Whitney is singing for the lovers, haters u know what to do, mind your own business! Whitney's album is amazing, get it!
This article is blowing my mind, and I can't help but wonder if the author didn't pay attention to the media reports over here in England. I'm an American tourist in the UK, and the overwhelming opinion over here is that Whit's performance was a bust, the song wasn't great, her vocals weren't even CLOSE to being up to par, and she looked act acted absolutely stoned and zoned, and as some put it, "not even on this planet." Some think it was a total embarassment and she should have stayed retired.

Her dress was just horrible to begin with. The back was way too tight so no surprise that the strap broke open. The dress was too long and she couldn't really move around. I was worried she was going to fall down the stairs. But I wish her all the best - thank goodness she got away from Mr. Brown.
I watched X Factor, and Whitney's vocals were awesome! Vocally the best female artist today. Whitney still has a fantastic voice. It's a shame she seemed high on something though? It's also a HUGE shame that the Jackson's couldn't rescue MJ and put him into rehab just like Whitney's clever mum. Otherwise, MJ would be with us today and we wouldn't have to settle for his HD rehersals.

There is so much evil in the world trying to drag us all down and we in our human weaknesses at times succumb to it and lose site of what should be most important in our lives! You have finally chosen the HIGH ROAD...and not with !! Keep God in your life and He will walk beside you all the way!! He will sustain you!! Don't let anyone's words or actions drag you down! Stay on the path...stay focused on what is TRULY good in your life and your soul will shine!!
I LOVE WHITNEY...But, I must say that her mouth and teeth are much different than from before. I can only assume it's from the drug use and she does not sound the same. I am not sure that she could no longer sing "I will always love you," which is a shame, cause I think that's her most beautiful song ever. But, we must appreciate her for ehat she can do NOW. I watched this performance live and was a little disturbed by her behaviour after she had sung. She was clearly disorientated and struggled answering easy questions posed to her by the show host. A huge pity and disappointment.
