  Jon Gosselin is plowing through his share of the money from TLC’s “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” sources tell FOX411 exclusively.

  He and soon-to-be ex-wife Kate Gosselin get equal shares of the money (reportedly $75,000 per episode each), but that doesn’t mean they do the same thing with their halves. Friends tell FOX411 Jon is going on spending sprees for his girlfriend, Hailey Glassman and living large in New York, while Kate is squirreling her cash away for a rainy day.

  “Kate was the accountant in their family. She was in charge of the bank accounts and kept Jon on a tight leash and budget,” says an insider. “He got a certain amount of money per week and that was it. Now that he’s free of all that control, he’s like a kid with play money.”

  But apparently not much of that play money is being spent on his own children, says the source.

  “He uses his ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8′ connections to get free stuff for the children, and then he pays for big ticket items for Hailey,” says the snitch. “While he was in Vegas this weekend flirting with many other women, he bought Hailey expensive jewelry. Then he got tons of free candy for the kids.”

  Jon has also taken on a New York apartment as his second home, says the insider. “Jon is spending a lot of money to live in New York City and be close to Hailey. She spends most nights with him and they usually order food or go out to nice restaurants on the Upper West Side. They take cabs everywhere and he takes her shopping and to visit her family. Jon houses his car in a garage in the city as well for easy access for the shopping trips and drives home to Pennsylvania. The money is going fast!”

  Jon has started getting offers pouring in for major appearance fees, where he will be paid to host events like he did last weekend at Wet Republic in Las Vegas, says the insider. “It’s an easy way for Jon to make a little money on the side, but his TLC contract is pretty stringent and it is unlikely that they will allow Jon to host parties anywhere and everywhere. He needs to cut back on spending because once the show ends, the money will completely dry up.”

  Things aren’t quite as rosy at fashion bible Vogue two years after the hit documentary “The September Issue” was filmed. With profits plummeting, one staffer who isn’t putting all of her eggs in one basket is editrix Anna Wintour, the inspiration for Meryl Streep’s character in “The Devil Wears Prada.”

  The famously snooty head of the world’s most influential fashion magazine has big plans to try to be more like (gasp) you!

  “Anna didn’t pay a lot of attention to the economy or new technology and online media, so she missed the effect it was having on fashion, magazines and eventually, her own image,” an insider tells FOX411. “Now she’s out on the weekends standing in line to see her own movie in jeans and a t-shirt with the regular people.”

  Anna’s new dressed-down persona begins when Ms. Wintour launches New York Fashion Week’s opening night event, titled Fashion’s Night Out, way out in the unfashionable borough of Queens!

  Yes, the home of Archie Bunker.

  “Anna is mixing things up and diversifying,” says a Wintour pal. “It has been a difficult year and seeing the documentary, which highlighted such a powerful and fiscally booming year in contrast to this year, was a bitter pill to swallow. Things are a lot harder than Anna expected, and the budgets that were always there for re-shoots at a whim are obviously gone.”

  The source tells FOX411 this may be a make-or-break time for Wintour.

  “These next few months, if not weeks will be critical to see if she can continue to be the queen of reinvention and bring Vogue back to the top of the magazine world.”

  And she’s starting in Archie’s back yard.

  FOX411 Exclusive: 'Dance' winner Jeanine Mason scared to see buses for upcoming tour...

  Finalists from Season 5 of “So You Think You Can Dance” gave a sneak peek of their upcoming tour at The Central Courtyard at the Hollywood and Highland Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Dance fans even got a chance to participate in a dance challenge with their high-stepping heroes.

  FOX411 was there to talk to Season 5 winner Jeanine Mason and finalist Evan Kasprzak about their upcoming national “Dance” tour, and what they were most – and least – looking forward to.

  “We thought maybe they would let us ease back into that physical torment and stress, but no! We jumped right back into it,” Mason told FOX411. “We have been doing, like, 12 hour days. They’re just whipping us into shape. We leave in 10 days now.”

  Mason and Kasprzak both said they’re looking forward to getting out and seeing the country.

  “We have a couple of days off to just pack up and then we start off on the 20th in Manchester, New Hampshire,” Mason said.

  “Getting to see the country, and getting to do what we love while doing it, is pretty awesome,” said Kasprzak.

  “I’m pretty excited to be in the buses all the time!” Mason joked. “I know most people are probably excited about the dancing, but I don’t know I’m excited for the buses. We haven’t seen them yet.”

  Here’s a hint – they are quite long, and they have lots of wheels.

  UPDATE: Several commenters are mad at us – they say we misled them about her dread of riding around in a bus for who know how long. It was an attempt at humor which obviously failed. Sorry! Don’t worry, we’ll get funnier!

  Whitney Houston’s performance on Good Morning America Tuesday left some fans feeling that the diva’s heavily anticipated comeback wasn’t quite all that it was, ahem, cracked up to be.

  Once known for her incredibly strong live performances, Houston’s voice cracked in each of her four performed songs.

  But don’t jump to conclusions on the vocal malfunction just yet. No, Whitney, dear friends, has quite a valid excuse.

  Cate Blanchett injured during theater performance

  Cate Blanchett sustained a head injury and had to leave the stage during a performance of the play “A Streetcar Named Desire” on Tuesday night,  People.com is reporting:

  The 40-year-old actress … was left bleeding from the head and on all fours after an actor playing Stanley Kowalski accidentally struck her in the head with a ’60s-style radio.

  The report goes on to say that the Oscar winner initially stuck to “the show must go on” actors’ ethic and continued performing, but stopped when she realized how much she was bleeding.

  The theater’s house lights went on and the audience was asked to leave, according to Agence France-Presse.

  A spokesman for the theater later said that Blanchett was “just fine,” and expected to perform tonight.

  The scare comes after awareness was heightened following fellow actress Natasha Richardson’s tragic death from what initially seemed to be a minor head injury she got while skiing.

  Does Donald Trump fix the Miss Universe pageant?

  The choreograpaher for the Miss Universe pageant, Michael Schwandt, said in an interview that Donald Trump hand picks six of the 15 Miss Universe finalists, and that the judges are only responsible for the final nine.

  “His reason for doing so, as he told me and he’s told the girls before, is that he left it all up to preliminary judging in the past and some of the most beautiful women, in his opinion, were not in the top fifteen and he was kind of upset about that,” Schwandt told the website Guanabee.com. “And he decided that he would pick a certain number and let the judges pick a certain number.”

  But according to the Miss Universe Organization, the information the choreographer gave was “inaccurate and incomplete.”

  “As disclosed at the top of each broadcast, members of the Miss Universe Organization play a role in the selection of the Top 15 semi-finalists. In the 2009 Miss Universe competition, a preliminary panel of judges selected nine of the Top 15 and members of the Miss Universe Organization, including owner Donald J. Trump, selected the remaining six,” MUO President Paula M. Shugart said in a statement to FOX411. “A separate panel of judges, introduced live at the Finals telecast, is solely responsible for the selection of the Top 10, Top 5 and the ultimate winner of the pageant.”

  Shugart also stated that the system (which has been in place since 2005) is “fully disclosed” to all those associated with the pageant and that the procedure is overseen by the accounting firm of Ernst & Young and NBC Program Standards and Compliance.

  “To in any way call into question the integrity of the judging process or suggest the pageant is somehow orchestrated or “rigged” is utterly false and misleading,” she added.

  Who knew Kevin Federline was an environmentalist?

  Britney Spears’ ex-husband removed his shirt for a swim this weekend, and the resulting reflection of UV rays contributed to a measurable decrease in the Earth’s average temperature.

  Kristin Cavallari ditches red carpet to avoid massive wardrobe malfunction...

  What happens when you wear a white dress with nothing underneath, with scores of flashbulbs arrayed in front of you all going off at once?

  That’s what “The Hills” star Kristin Cavallari decided she didn’t want to find out this weekend at Fred Segal’s All White Birthday and Charity Party in Malibu.

  “Kristin refused to walk the red carpet because she was very concerned her nipples would show through her all white dress and she wanted to avoid a fashion disaster,” a source told FOX411.

  So she showed up at a charity event where she knew there would be a red carpet, but forget to wear a bra?

  No matter, Cavallari allowed some photos to be taken later at the party itself, her long blonde locks strategically placed. That’s where FOX411 correspondent Crystal Fambrini managed to get this photo with her, far, far away from the flash pans.

  Yes, we can see how that dress could have posed a problem.
