Suzanne Somers thinks Patrick Swayze could have been alive today if he would have used alternative methods to treat his pancreatic cancer instead of chemotherapy.
The former "Three's Company" star, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1991 and rejected chemotherapy in favor of natural treatments, reportedly told Toronto-based columnist Shinan Govani that it was Swayze's chemotherapy treatments, not pancreatic cancer, that ended his life prematurely.
"They took this beautiful man and they basically put poison in him," she reportedly said. "Why couldn't they have built him up nutritionally and gotten rid of the toxins in his body? I hate to be this controversial. I'm a singer-dancer-comedienne. But we have an epidemic going on, and I have to say it."
What proof says she's a genuine California native? Plenty of loonies come to the Golden State from the other states and the world. We get invaded from all over the place. Tons of entertainment hopefuls come out here from who cares where. When your kids run away to become stars they won't be running to anywhere else! I'm sure there's plenty of mental health facilities in your state, Russ! If you want freedom of speech in general so you can speak your small mind, then Suzanne and everyone else gets the same right to speak as you do!! Welcome to America! Get over yourself.
Suzanne Sommers is a complete idiot and fool...How dare she spew such nonsense! Pancreatic Cancer is deadly period....no amount of "nutrition" is going to save the patient. Patrick Swayze defied the odds and fought a brave battle. That dim blonde needs to keep her mouth shut!
I am sure that Swayze's doctors gave him all the information and he didn't strike me as being stupid. I am sure he did his own research in conjunction with what his physician told him prior to starting treatment. Allow him the dignity of his choice..it isn't like the doctor tied him down and forced chemo on him.
Who are any of us to question how Patrick SWayze and his wife chose to handle his illness. Shame on all of us that think we could have done it better. Patrick and his wife handled his illness with dignity. May we all, faced with an illness like Patricks do the same.
I think Suzanne Somers should shut up. My husband would not be here now if it were not for his chemo. Breast cancer is a total different thing then most other cancers (I have family that has had it, so I am not saying it is not bad), but the way to can treat are totally different.
Suzanne....shut up. Chemo saves many many lives. Terrible it couldn't save his but that is how things happen sometimes, said as it is. So go back to Hollywood and do another commercial. No one cares what this woman says and hasn't cared in what? 15 years?
