  Papa Joe pitching Jessica Simpson as Paula Abdul 'Idol' replacement?

  It looks like the vultures are circling. Just days after Paula Abdul and “American Idol” announced their parting of ways, the juiciest replacement rumor to date came out in today’s New York Post Page 6 column:

  We hear… THAT Jessica Simpson is being pushed to the producers of “American Idol” by her father/manager Joe Simpson as the perfect replacement for Paula Abdul.

  This comes hard on the heels of “Idol” announcing that Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham would be guest hosting for at least some of next season’s episodes.

  What do you think? Is there room for both Posh and Jess on “Idol”?

  Gwyneth Paltrow snubs Scarlett Johannson on "Iron Man 2" set...

  Gwyneth Paltrow is not making any new friends these days.

  The actress recently wrapped filming on “Iron Man 2″ (due to hit theatres in May 2010), where she wasn’t a crew favorite, FOX411 has learned.

  A source says some of the “Iron Man” team had secret hopes of her character being recast, or even killed in the movie, but are resigned to the likelihood that she is locked in as the character Pepper Potts.

  Gwyneth did nothing to make friends with fellow superhero Scarlett Johansson, playing the Black Widow, says the insider, and crew actually preferred to be around her husband, Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin.

  Lady Gaga is saying it loud, she’s not gay and she’s proud!

  But she wishes everyone else was. Gay, that is.

  In the September issue of Out magazine, the scandal-baiting singer poses semi-nude in a Goth-inspired photo spread and drops the following bon mots.

  I had a few gay piano teachers. I was in acting class and ballet from a very young age, and I remember being around a lot of gay boys in dance class. I feel intrinsically inclined toward a more gay lifestyle.

  Yet, despite some same-sex experiences, Gaga says she’s straight.

  Kate Gosselin checks into hotel after Jon won't let her in house, says report

  It looks like things are heating up again in Jon and Kate Gosselin’s strange, strange world.

  RadarOnline.com is reporting that police were called to the Gosselin’s Pennsylvania home Thursday night when Jon and Kate got into a fight about nanny  Stephanie Santoro.

  Why? Well according to RadarOnline.com:

  On at least one occasion, Jon has spent the night with Santoro, 23, a former cocktail waitress, single mom and aspiring model whose online resume reveals she’s willing to pose nude.

  Apparently Kate showed up unexpectedly during Jon’s time with the kids (the couple has filed for divorce and alternate times with their eight children), and Jon wouldn’t let her in.

  A new Public Service Announcement Fox stars in begins innocently enough, with her saying thousands of teenagers have to endure huge amounts of peer pressure in schools.

  But then Fox , using an F-bomb or two, offers her plan for retribution: “killing and eating” every boy in school.

  FOX411 Exclusive: Rosie O'Donnell calls Elisabeth Hasselbeck a word that rhymes with 'swat'

  Once, things were all peaches and cream between Rosie and Elisabeth. Now, not so much.

  It’s back on.

  Rosie O’Donnell can’t seem to stop talking about her ugly departure from “The View,” and the famous feud she had with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

  An eyewitness tells FOX411 exclusively that the former “The View” co-host slammed her former show and called her former co-host a vulgarism that starts with a “t” and rhymes with “swat,” just four days before Hasselbeck gave birth to her third child.

  It all happened on August 5 during a stand-up routine as part of O’Donnell’s “Girls’ Night Out Tour” with singer Cyndi Lauper. First, Rosie cracked jokes about ”The View,” illiciting roars of laughter from the audience at the St. George Theatre in Staten Island, N.Y.

  “Rosie started out by asking the audience, ‘What was that show I was on?’” an audience member tells FOX411. “Then, instead of saying, ‘The View,’ she called it ‘The Screw You.’ She continued by calling Elisabeth Hasselbeck, ‘Elizabeth Half-a-brain.’ Then she jumped to another topic.”

  But Rosie wasn’t done. Not even close.

  Kourtney Kardashian steps out on July 29, 2009 in Los Angeles in a dress that was apparently hiding something.

  Kourtney Kardashian is pregnant with long-time on-and-off again boyfriend Scott Disick’s baby, a source tells FOX411 exclusively.

  While the sexy Kardashian sister, 30, has confirmed she’s pregnant, she was staying mum on who her baby’s daddy so it could be revealed on next season’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

  But a FOX411 source says that while Kourtney and Scott broke up last season, their separation was brief, and the two were meeting up and making out within weeks of the TV show breakup. And apparently doing a lot more.

  Liam Neeson walks red carpet for new movie alone

  FOX News’s entertainment correspondent Jill Dobson interviewed actor Liam Neeson last night on the red carpet for the first movie he has promoted since the death of his wife Natasha Richardson in March in a freak skiing accident.

  Neeson’s film, “Five Minutes in Heaven,” was shot in his native Northern Ireland, which Neeson left when the region was still in the grips of violent conflict. A somber-looking Neeson told Jill it was “very emotional” to return to his native country, and gave some insight into his state of mind.
