  Advice to Ukrainian "Dancing With the Stars" cutie Karina Smirnoff should she see Joe Biden: run.

  Joe Biden has a big yapper. On his current trip to the former Soviet Union, he let drop this bon mot:

  “I cannot believe that a Frenchman visiting Kiev went back home and told his colleagues he discovered something and didn’t say he discovered the most beautiful women in the world. That’s my observation.”

  While his sentence structure is ungainly, what he basically said on an official trip was: Gee, Ukrainian women are real purty!

  FOX411 Exclusive: Gwyneth Paltrow a little too close to ex Ben Affleck?

  Gwyneth Paltrow is that kind of person who likes to stay friendly with her exes.

  Especially her ex Ben Affleck.

  Friends tell FOX411 the star is big on sending personal notes and gifts for births and other major celebrations, and Ben and his wife Jennifer Garner have been on the lucky receiving end of such gifts.  

  “Ben and Jen got one of Gwyneth’s famous notes this year just after Seraphina was born,” says the insider. “It was very nice, but it was a little too personal. Gwyneth made sure to mention how she was happy that Ben was finally creating the family he had always wanted, a family, which the two of them discussed in depth when they were dating. It just rubs Jen the wrong way.”

  But that’s just the beginning of Paltrow’s too-close-for-comfort behavior.

  Kiefer Sutherland gets away with butt...

  Looks like Kiefer Sutherland is in the clear for his May 6th headbutt of New York fashion Jack McCoullough. According to TMZ:

  The Manhattan D.A. has just rejected the case against the “24″ star and we’re told it’s all because officials determined it was a petty matter that did not rise to the level of criminal conduct.

  Apparently like Los Angeles law enforcement won’t be pursuing possible parole violations, either.

  Sounds like an open and butt case.

  Lionel Richie is Bai curious...

  FOXNews.com’s Pop Tarts column has the New Couple News of the week, no matter who hooks up in the remaining five days.

  Lionel Richie, the guy who sang ‘Dancing on the Ceiling,’ and Bai Ling, the gal who can often be found at parties dancing with herself, were seen out together.

  The unlikely duo was spotted on what appeared to be a romantic date last Thursday at Whist at Viceroy Santa Monica. According to an eye witness, Ling and Richie kept a low-profile and laughed and flirted throughout their meal.

  You want funny? Show Sandler and Apatow the money...

  FOX News was at The Arclight Hollywood in Los Angeles last night for the premiere of the new comedy “Funny People.” We talked to director Judd Apatow (he of “40 Year-Old Virgin” and “Superbad” fame, to name just a couple) and star Adam Sandler (you know who he is), and asked them who were the funniest people in their lives.

  Apatow claimed his daughters were quite hilarious “because they still want to amuse people.”

  Apatow and Sandler, on the other hand, do not. “We’re burnt out,” said the director. “On the set, we’re boring.”

  Kim Kardashian says she is shocked at some of the harsh comments she gets regarding her interracial relationship. The reality television star, who is mixed with Armenian, Scottish and Dutch, is dating African American NFL player Reggie Bush.

  “I don’t understand it because I was raised to not see color,” Kardashian told FOX411 at the Three O Bubble Vodka Launch party in New York City earlier this month. “But you’re still faced with it.”

  Mischa Barton was submitted involuntarily to a California mental health facility last week, and she’s still there. According to insiders, friends and associates have been trying to get Mischa into some sort of treatment for months, including party pal Lindsay Lohan.

  The two club regulars often partied together into the early morning hours.  But last year, Lindsay walked away from the friendship after a messy Mischa pushed Lindsay over the edge.  Sources close to Lohan tell Fox 411 that the two girls haven’t spoken for months, but Lindsay would help Mischa if she asked for help to get through this latest fiasco.
